Would consider it again IF no cheaper accommodation available in the area

Very comfortable twin beds.
Outdoor communal space with tables and chairs.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Quiet and relaxing.
Kitchenware were very very scarce, which made cooking in the kitchenette and eating difficult. Had to buy few cooking items as well.
Under Construction and Quite Noisy

We were quite disappointed to find this hotel under construction (cleaning and renovation of outdoor facade)and even more disappointed to be given a room with a view of scaffolding where we could not even keep the curtain open, otherwise the workers would see inside, and that was quite uncomfortable. The level of noise during daytime was absolutely horrible. We arrived after a very long day and hoped for couple hours of rest before exploring the town, in vain. It felt like the hammers would bust through the wall at any time.
There was very little insulation in the interior as well, voices could be heard from the outside of the room as our neighbors walk by, and every time somebody in a room above us flushed toilet, it felt like a small earthquake was coming.
The room itself was clean. Little tight, especially the bathroom but it had all we needed including refrigerator and a small stove.
One plus was the self laundry available for €5.00 which if you are on an extended trip is always appreciated.
Perfectly adequate and comfortable - would recommend

We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting Corte.
The first thing you need to know is that during university term time, this building is a halls of residence. During their summer break it becomes a pop-up hotel.
For €70 per room including a small kitchenette, ensuite and breakfast, you really can't complain although it seems some other guests got confused and thought they were reviewing the Ritz Carlton.
Ok, the rooms are pretty basic but the double bed was comfortable and the linen was very clean. In fact the whole room was spotlessly clean.
There's a very good free WiFi signal but no television and no air conditioning. There is also a very decent swimming pool and you can use the gym. By the pool there's a nicely kept garden where you can eat your meals or have a drink.
The breakfast is what you'd expect. Tea, coffee, croissants, pain aux raisins, baguette, jams, cereals, orange juice. Again, pretty decent for the price.
The young guy who welcomed us at reception was very smiley but other members of staff were a little less friendly. They weren't rude in any way but they just didn't have that normal smiley "bonjour" that you receive in most French hotels. That said, when we asked if we could have another saucepan to cook our evening meal, they dashed off and came back a couple of minutes later with three brand new ones, all still with labels attached.
The other thing to note is that there are no lifts in the building so if you're travelling with lots of luggage, that may cause some inconvenience
So if all you're needing is a basic but clean and comfortable room with a decent breakfast and only 5 minutes from the railway station and 15 minutes from the old town, as they say in France....Voila!!!
However, if what you're needing is The Radisson Blue, you've come to the wrong place.
DO NOT BOOK HERE

I arrived with a confirmed and paid for reservation. They had no reservation for me and were extremely rude. They told me to sit down while they helped 5 other people and had a chat with some friends. When I finally said what is going on here, they started laughing saying we don't have a reservation you should leave. I showed them my reservation but they didn't care. Don't stay here under any circumstances, I only saw the lobby obviously but it looked like a huge dump.
Not quite two lifeboats

I once booked a stay at a place in sherringham in Norfolk about a decade ago called the two lifeboats and it was terrible and it was years before I trusted myself to book anything again leaving it all to my partner. So any thing terrible is referred to as two lifeboats.
I booked this due to location to station and pool and convenient for stroll into town. Just before we came away I read some recent reviews and nearly cancelled. In the end we resolved if it was a two lifeboats we would move on.
The room was basic (no wardrobe or hanging space) but very clean with refurbished shower room the garden was pleasant and the pool very clean and the staff very pleasant.
The building has seen better days but this is typical of area and its is beside a DIY place and almost opposite the hospital .
We were on the third floor and there is no lift so thankful we are travelling light!
There is no air conditioning and at this time of year that is a problem. Fortunately no mosquitos so we slept with the window wide open so a bit of traffic noise. Not great!
Breakfast is adequate bread, pastries and branfakes and cornflakes orange juice
Tea and coffee. So no yoghurt, fruit, ham or cheese and forget eggs or coco pops.
Was wishing I was back on Spetze at the economou mansion (my partner booked last year) now that was special !
For passing through this is ok but defo not a holiday destination.
Reasonable value and you have a fridge and hob so you can buy your own breakfast at the supermarket or stroll into town for a cheaper better breakfast !
Corte is an interesting place and worth a overnight stop.
