The room (room 4) was very tired and very dusty, which caused my asthma to rear up. One of the light fittings was hanging of the wall. Anyone over 5" would have bumped onto the main light & the lampshade was full of dust. There was a fan, which I wouldn't have dared turn on, as it has do much dust on it. The bathroom was filthy & decrepit. Shower head full of mould & rusty, ventaxia gunked up with many years of dirt & dust & not working. Radiator rusty, probably due to lack of ventilation. Stray hair on toilet. Toilet brush disgusting. We were not advised on arrival that the breakfast would be a paper bag of unhealthy, sweet food instead of the usual cooked breakfast. It was only when we got to the room, that we found out, via a brief information sheet, that they no longer serve proper breakfast. We stayed here 4 years ago and it was very good, with a decent breakfast & a clean room. There was a young girl, on her own, dealing with both the pub & b&b. Not fair for her, as the pub was busy & she had to leave the bar to assist us on arrival. The owners of this pub/b&b should be ashamed of the conditions of both the room & the breakfast. We will not be returning.

Worst hotel ever and don't even think about complaining to Booking. Com, Fullers or hotel. All ears firmly closed.

Just read all negative reviews on all websitrs before booking as they all seem very accurate. Biggest issue is the filth, not even a cloth/duster passed over all accessible parts of bathroom. Secondly, breakfast is a load of sweet stuff left in a paper bag at top of stairs. Etc......

Well where to start? The premises hasn't seen a contractor for years, the bar staff are miserable looking to say the least and they generally break most licensing laws on a nightly basis. The public toilets have a higher standard of cleanliness, I'd rather drink water from the local piss hole than a pint from this place. Managed by Matt Parker, hated on this Island and would heartily recommend asking any publican if they're part of his group. If so, cancel the order and leave. Horrible person, horrible establishments, horrible staff and horrible produce. Avoid at all costs.

Just a one night stay but our room was very tired. Decoration very slapdash especially around the shower. Plug in sink was jammed shut but a lady came and whacked it to open it - but next time i used it jammed again and stayed that way. The noise from the bar went on until 2am and the banging of doors as the "continental" breakfasts were delivered to the chest of drawers on the landing went on and on. After a dodgy nights sleep at 8:15 the fire alarms went off. Luckily we were packed and ready to go and went outside to join the others in various states of dress. There was an emergency number to call stuck on the door that I rang and a very sleepy lady said she would send someone down to turn it off. No apology and no call to the fire brigade! There are no staff in the place overnight. The super bakery/café just down the road who took us in like refugees said the alarm was often going off at all hours. If you just want a drink - fine - but do NOT stay.

Paid about £100 for us to stay the night but got no sleep so left at 3am and went back to my house.What a waste of money I hear you say!. No thought for the sleeping,paying residents by staff.Staff taking up breakfasts up till 2.30am and letting the inner door bang every single time which everyone must have heard in the building at that the of the morning.Ps..squirt some wd40 on that sign that swings in the wind and creaks all night.For that money all you want is a decent night's sleep. Staffs response when we asked for some sort of refund was we should have got up and confronted the staff at 2am like that's a holiday treat ah!..howabout you tell your staff to be mindful of others sleeping who are paying alot of money for one night.
