Surprise 40th birthday meal. Wonderful service and food. Considering we were a large party, we had a good choice of meals, we were all served together by attentive staff who kept checking we were okay and if there was anything else we required. I personally had the lamb shank, which was probably the best I've ever had.

The hotel hosted a gathering after a family funeral which they did discreetly and brilliantly.Thank you to Millie and her team who looked after the guests and us in a kind and considerate way.Food was excellent, in the cold weather the rooms were warm and the bed extremely comfortable.A big thank you.

Great News Years Eve spent here. Very friendly attendees , great music and food. The staff were brilliant especially India who greeted us and looked after us in such a friendly way. The bar manager was brilliant also with good banter and humour.

You cannot nock the surroundings and the staff at the mill ,it’s quite good for a Christmas party.with probably 70 other people from other companies in the thrift barn. But to say it was cold !that was an underestimation. It was absolutely bloody freezing. We sat near the chimney breast (which was already allocated to us, )which had an unlit fire in, and the wind coming down through it and the surrounding walls was bitter cold it was so cold. I didn’t take my coat off the whole visit,We didn’t want to stay really ! eat the food and most of the party,departed as soon as possible because of the freezing conditions asked if there was any heating in the barn and if there was ?? please turn it up I was told it was on maximum while this must’ve been a two bar electric fire because it was too cold to enjoy the whole experience which we wouldn’t repeat.

Excellent service. Food delicious and varied menus. Very friendly staff and all animal lovers. Perfect grounds for dog walking safe and vast. Lovely atmosphere in the whole place. Rooms warm comfortable clean everything you require. Free safe parking. Lots to do and things happening most evenings. Will definitely be going back soon.
