Lovely Quiet Hotel

We were warmly welcomed by Veronique and Christophe after our cycle ride and taken to our 1st floor room with spacious deck outside. We wandered around the small town then enjoyed a delicious dinner with Veronique and Christophe and another French couple. It was lovely to chat with them. We slept well and were ready for the delicious breakfast the next morning which fuelled us for our cycling!

This was my second visit to le Clos Mazerolles - and it was great to receive such a warm welcome. Once again, a pleasant en suite room, a wonderful terrace, excellent breakfasts and delightful hosts. Tucked down a side-street in the pleasantly sleepy town of Cruzy, this is a hidden gem and well worth a visit.

A bit quirky - but nice

An interesting, quirky hotel, well sort of hotel more of a guest house. We cycled from Homps to Cruzy over a vicious hill (seemed like the North Face of the Eiger) so we were a bit groggy (the directions said it was a bit steep!). The room was on the small side and a bit hot, although the fan kept the temperature at a reasonable level and we had a roof terrace to sit out on. The bathroom was a bit basic. The evening meal was included, it was a typical French affair, communal table, plenty of wine etc.

I stayed here for four nights, A warm, friendly welcome, spacious, clean and comfortable room, a lovely terrace, delicious breakfasts, endlessly helpful hosts and wonderful surroundings. I would not hesitate to recommend it. The owners were particularly helpful in making sure that I got to the airport on my departure and firmly refused a tip. I could not ask for a better place to stay and would highly recommend this delightful. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Not for everyone

This is a nice B and B in an extremely quiet town-we found nothing open when we arrived. Our hosts were friendly but with extremely limited English-so no real communication. While the room was spacious, the bathroom "door" was a curtain-not our thing. Homemade meal at night was nice, nothing spectacular. Perhaps better for French tourists who can chat with host.
