Recomendo.
Nice staff and accommodations except

Had a 2 queen bed suite, was disappointed the suite did not have any separation (usually there is a door between bedroom and sitting area). But, if you need both beds, you have 6 inches of room between the bed and the radiator, a possible accident in the middle of the night. Breakfast was ok, very few folks wearing masks.
Great location in a nice town in the Black Hills

This location was perfect for us to explore the area. We spent 3 nights here and found our room to be clean and comfortable and we appreciated the full sized in room Keurig machine. The hotel has a lovely setting behind it, backing up to the hill with a pretty patio area. There was ample parking available during our stay.
During our 2 week trip staying at various 3 star chain hotels that served a complimentary breakfast this was by far our least favorite one. The food choices were the most limited/least appealing and the breakfast staff did not interact with guests and were very slow to refill empty serving dishes. Only a handful of items were put in each serving dish even when there were several guests waiting for food. This created a bottleneck of people waiting for food during a time that signs were posted requesting that guests try to social distance. With a little more effort in this area, I would have given a higher rating
Nice but needs to be cleaner.

This hotel has nicely decorated rooms with a small refrigerator and a keurig coffee machine. The biggest drawback to it was that it was not clean. When we checked in the tile floor in the entrance to the room was sticky and the bathroom floor had spots on it from a previous spill. They are not currently offering daily housecleaning so you leave dirty towels in the hall and pickup clean towels at the front desk. Trash cans are also left in the hall outside your room where the maids empty them and leave them with a clean liner for you to put in. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. The morning breakfast was good - toast, muffins, bagels, eggs, sausage & bacon, eggs, yogurt, fruit, milk, cereal, oatmeal, cinnamon rolls and all of the usual beverages. The milk was not in individual cartons but rather in gallon jugs that you poured yourself. The breakfast area got fairly messy but the staff did not seem inclined to keep picking it up. Several times, I knocked on the kitchen door to get a refill of something such as fruit or coffee and then they came out and refilled the item. The wifi was not adequate for the hotel, either. Downloading a newspaper took a very long time if it was successful. This hotel has the potential to be much nicer than it is. If I went to Custer again, I would try another hotel.
Alex and the hotel were amazing!

We had a last minute stay and Alex at the front desk really went above and beyond to accommodate us and make our trip extra special. The room was clean, super comfy bed, and a great stay. Would stay again if in the area
