Would not recommend. Better options available nearby.
Our group stayed here recently. The hotel is dated (wallpaper in bathrooms, areas of rust on ceiling tiles in bathroom, carpet stained). The walls are paper thin. Doors to rooms had a bit of a gap leaving me not feeling totally secured, and the loud situation that occurred in another guest room near us was disturbing and left us feeling unsafe. Desk manager during day was friendly. Breakfast is very minimal. I would suggest finding another hotel in the area first.
We have stayed in this hotel several times. The staff is friendly, the rooms are huge and breakfast is great! Everything is always clean and the beds are super comfortable. Plus the cookies are absolutely delicious and such a nice tough!
Nice hotel to stay
I went to Dahlgren for a business travel and booked online, one of the things I like to check is for a decent breakfast for this kind of travel since almost always on business trips you don’t have time to go look for breakfast that early, so well if it was only for that I wouldn’t recommend it, but to be honest the room was really nice and clean, I had no coffee cups for most of my staying but there is coffee served all day 24/7 at the lobby and being so close to it that wasn’t an issue (sorry for the ones down the hall if it was the same for them), the was no body soap either and they don’t put bottled water for the coffee machine (and tap water there is horrible), the showers are to be access by a wheelchair but the bad thing is that water will leak all over the bathroom if you don’t put towels on the floor, also I don’t think putting families with children on the second floor is a good idea, this family above had no respect for others not carrying about schedule so I had to use ear plugs to get some sleep, service was good at the front desk and there were free cookies all day too.
Dated and dirty
Stayed here as part of a group. This hotel is extremely dated, horribly dirty, with a staff who doesn’t understand the word “hospitality.” You are there for the guests, don’t make them feel so non-valued. The rooms are poorly equipped. In ours, the closet was falling apart, the tv was impossible to use and lacked hd channels, and the towels and sheets threadbare. Housekeeping was poor, with stray foreign hair, worn carpet, and horrible linens and pillows. The lobby tile was chipped, the breakfast poorly maintained and unappetizing, and the staff couldn’t be bothered to answer the ridiculously loud and annoying phone. Never again, especially for the over-priced rates.
Courteous, helpful staff. Clean throughout. Excellent breakfast with real utensils & dishes! Right on the highway, but no traffic sound in the room or lobby. Be aware that if you want the "suite" configuration in the room, you must choose King size bed - you do not get a separate sitting area with the 2 queen beds option.
