Downtown Sheraton with big rooms
Went for a convention in Dallas. This hotel is located in downtown, walkable distance to the convention centre. Rooms are big. Very comfortable also luxurious. It’s also quiet at night. Rooms are newly renovated. Service is good. I requested towel at 11pm, the towel was delivered straight to my room in less than 5 mins. Good stay!
Great 2-week stay
I stayed for work and had a great time. The hotel is a 10 second walk from the Pearl Arts DART station, so, is you can, take it from the DFW airport. Breakfast buffet at Open Pallet is fantastic. Food at Draft is amazing... get the chicken quesadilla. Didn’t go to the other fancy one. Open Market has a great bakery selection. The gift shop is huge and reasonably priced. The 2nd floor executive lounge is really really nice. Nice food selection, Tazo teas, Pepsi products, water, yogurt and fruit all day until 11pm. I want to commend the staff of the 2nd floor lounge. I’ve spent two weeks in the hotel and every day I went to the lounge, they met me with a smile and remembered my name. Ms. Beverly, Ms. Carolyn, and Mr. Ron. Absolute gems. And Mr. Laurence at check-in. Brandon(?) from engineering was great when I had an AC issue. Highly recommend this hotel. View from 28th floor room.

Superficial remodel, hordes of unsupervised high schoolers everywhere
I’m just completing a five night stay at this property. While it is recently remodeled, the remodel is quite superficial. My bathroom sink drains extremely slowly and makes a loud constant dripping noise. The refrigerator buzzes loudly every time it turns on. The TV, while new, operates on an old system that has no internet TV and only offers extremely expensive pay per view movies. The WiFi is terrible everywhere and constantly drops the connection. I have had to reconnect 5 times in half an hour while staying in the same place in my room. As a platinum elite member, I did not receive any type of upgrade and was only, begrudgingly, given breakfast vouchers from the front desk after specifically going back down to ask for them. Somehow I only get 4 vouchers for a five night stay. However, by far the worst part of the stay and the reason I won’t be returning to this property, is that it constantly hosts hordes of unsupervised high school guests. Since I have been here, there have been two separate groups of hundreds of high schoolers. They run up and down the halls screaming, they take over the gym, they are in every common area. They talk loudly and jump on the floor into late hours of the night. This is not a welcome experience for a business traveler and has made my stay very unpleasant. Even the wait for an elevator takes 5+ minutes. Twice, I have gotten into an elevator with high schoolers leaving who have pressed the button for EVERY floor. Meaning, I had to stop at floors 4-26 before arriving at my own floor. I don’t recommend this hotel and won’t be returning.
Great hotel but couple of flaws
Rooms and hotel lobby areas are great. Good for business travel. Complaints include the ABSURD line at the hotel desk to check in and out. I have never waited so long. If you can avoid it, make sure there isnt a cheerleadingconventkon in town when you stay, as well. Otherwise comfortable facility and huge.
