Horrendous Experience

Avaliou em 20 de junho de 2022

There is Darkness looming in Georgia, that cast a Shadow over the Beauty of Georgia State Parks. That Darkness has a name: “Coral Hospitality Group” . Why would the State of Georgia affiliate itself with such a company? The Rudeness I experienced at the front desk at the Lodge at Amicalola was Horrendous. The only thing that saved the Day was stopping back by the Falls and gazing through the Mist at the true Beauty of what is our Georgia. I hold in very high regard the actual State Park employees, that throughout the years have helped guide and educate me about this Great States’ Wonder, Beauty and History.

One and Done

Avaliou em 12 de junho de 2022

Absolutely beautiful views from our 4th floor room, but the place was otherwise dirty and worn out. Fan in the loft wasn’t functional, and the ladder was too steep for smaller kids. Pictures speak for themselves. Ants and a big cricket were found in the room. Expected more at this price point. We’ll stay elsewhere on our next visit.

Great Stay!!

Great service, very clean rooms. Restaurant on site, buffet style with good tasting food. If you leave hungry it's your own fault. I stayed in the Forest room one night. Queen bed, comfortable and cozy. There is a gift shop on main floor, great fireplace, views of the surrounding mountains. I would go again in a New York minute!

Wonderful Stay Before Setting off on the AT!

Avaliou em 23 de maio de 2022

I stayed at Amicalola Falls Lodge the night before setting off on my Appalachian Trail thru hike attempt back in February. This was a wonderful stay. The staff was friendly and accommodations were nice. We were surprisingly able to check in early which was fantastic. Close to the approach trail to Springer, and a trail down to the visitor center where the approach trail begins at the infamous arch. My only complaint is that you could not order a la carte from the restaurant menu. It was buffet only - which, in a Covid world, isn't my preference. Would recommend a stay here!
