Nice room, NO HEAT

After a 6 hour car ride we checked into the hotel, went to our room and found it cold. I turned up the heat but got no response from the HVAC unit. I called the front desk and was told that the room had been vacant and to give it about ten minutes to warm up. After ten minutes, no change, I called back to the front desk to inform them. I was told that they were trying to locate a SPACE HEATER. I told them that I would not sleep in a room with a space heater and wanted a different room. They informed me that they had no rooms available, did I want to check out. I asked them to find me a room for the same price at one of the other IHG properties in the area to which I was told that there were no other hotels. We left.

Ms. Alona, the front desk associate she’s an outstanding, one of a kind type of employee. She goes over and beyond for strangers so I know she’s outstanding in her family and friends life. What she does exemplifies leadership and compassion. And the world needs more people like her. Ms. Alona even your worst days when some people can be so cruel and rude. And when you may not get all the recognition you deserve. You just keep God front and foremost in your life and keep pushing forward. Because even if others proclaim not to see it, we’ll God do.

Great room and location

Although it is right next to the airport, I never heard the planes from inside my room. Located just off I-95 and very close to restaurants and attractions, the room was nice and clean. I had a handicap accessible room, as I have to use a scooter. The only issue was the room was on the 2nd floor. Upon check in, the front desk clerk, closed the desk and assisted me with all my luggage taking it to the room. I did not eat any of the breakfast but it did smell good ! I was very pleased with my 3 night stay here and I highly recommend this property. Yes, it is not one the beach, but it was a whole lot cheaper too !

Unexpectedly wonderful

I typically stay in Marriott or Hilton because my husband and I are rewards members of both hotel chains.However, I may need to re-evaluate utilizing IHG hotels more often after the excellent experience I had at the Holiday Express Daytona Beach International Speedway. The hotel was affordable, amazingly convenient (across the street from airport),and clean.The room was spacious, modern, and clean. Though the accommodations were excellent, the true highlight of this hotel is the staff as has been stated by many others. Every single staff member was pleasant and more than willing to help with any request we made. I want to especially acknowledge Tori who was so very patient and accommodating to me and my children doing check in. My children were a little rambunctious after an early morning and flight, but she couldn’t have been nicer or more understanding. I hope IHG Corporate is taking notice of this hotel. If you are in Daytona, especially if you are traveling with kids, do not hesitate to book this hotel!

Quiet, clean, friendly, large rooms, convenient

We had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was extremely courteous and welcoming. Rooms were spacious with amenities galore. Can't beat the breakfast for options and quality. Convenient in and out from Williamson or Intl Speedway. Close to I-95, but tucked away and quiet. A well managed property!
