It’s not really the hotels fault but we were there in December and there is a carnival very nearby and the music is so loud - it reverberated through our room constantly. Thumping loud music right through the day , you couldn’t read or relax at all . Luckily it stopped at 11.30 pm but it was awful . ( and I very very rarely write bad reviews )Hotel is a bit of a dump and they didn’t service our room . Very minimal non Indian food options but we were only foreigners so that’s obviously not their market. Only positive is that they were very good at organising a bday cake I ordered which I really appreciated.

It was a good experience stay at Cloud Valley Munnar..., Room, amenities, location and Restaurant was good. The Hotel management should improve on the House Keeping such as maintenance of Toilet, wash basin etc.,

Horrible front office team

We went to this hotel on 1st January 2022 via MakeMyTrip. As per our bookings, we were supposed to get valley view rooms (4 rooms we booked). However hotel denied to give us the valley view rooms as they were sold out. They offered some other rooms without any view but we denied as those rooms were in pathetic condition and also it had foul smell. When we objected then a guy from front office team started misbehaving with us and we left the hotel and booked another hotel in Munnar (Amberdale) which was awesome. I have no idea how come this hotel has such high rating as we personally experienced the pathetic hospitality from this hotel. Also one guy threatened me that he is local guy and don’t argue with him for the valley view rooms. Then I called MakeMyTrip and they agreed to refund the entire payment as the room was not as per their description. I personally do not recommend this hotel for the travelers who believe in self respect. My entire family suffered due to their ill treatment. Later we relaxed at amber dale hotel which was a pleasant experience for us. However we paid hefty amount for the last minute booking and also it was 1st January.

Great stay

We stayed 3 nights in the hotel and had a great time. Congratulations to all. We had a very difficult situation with our little son who had to go 3 times to the hospital and received a great attention from everybody. A special thanks to Sudheer, Operation Manger. In spite of all this stress, we felt home and really cared. I recommended and was deeply moved by such attention

Physical condition of hotel doesn't do justice to staff excellence

All the staff – from guards to reception, restaurant to room service were excellent. Even the towel décor in the bedroom was lovely, a lot of heart went into their work. The menu of Winter Yard is another example of passion and pride going into what you do - every page tells not only the dishes served but also something special about Munnar. The rooms were clean, but too dark. There were only 4 very dim bulbs, sparsely located in the room. I think the idea was to create cosyness, but the result was eeriness. Need to increase lighting points or at least the wattage of your bulbs. Drawing the curtains apart did help let in a little light, but only during the day. We asked for a refrigerator and for a faulty bathroom light to be changed, and their housekeeping staff came immediately. Amazing service. But the kettle sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, even after plugging and unplugging it at different plug points. We called to have it changed but the housekeeping staff advised us to try again because "it is like that, it will work soon". And indeed it did. But this on-and-off thing happened regularly. The linoleum floor cover in your lift is torn and badly needs to be changed. We visited in February when it was still cool, so having no air-conditioning was fine. We do not know how it would be in the summer. The physical condition of the hotel doesn't do justice to their staff excellence. We stayed here 3 days and enjoyed interacting with your friendly staff.
