When checking in (9/14/21) we had to put on wristbands on our wrist to get by a security guard next to the hotel elivator. I was told that I could not bring up my small ice chest that I use to carry my insulin medication, I had to remove it and place in the refrigorator in the room. I later asked another employee what was this all about and was told that it was to prevent people evacuating from Louisiana for Huricane Ida not to have more then four people in a room and for them not to bring up food and water in their Ice chest and use up all the ice. What a great neighborly thing to do for desperate people trying to avoid a hurricane with their family.

Without a doubt the worst experience ever. The reserved corner (requested south view months earlier) room for our anniversary faced the parking garage and Lava Links. The front desk which entailed 3 podiums is understaffed. It’s run like a fast food line. Ask any questions and you hold the process up. Check in at 4pm, room not ready and they’ll update availability via phone. 5 pm no word, wait in line again, no update on progress. I ask if it’ll be an hour or more, girl responds, “It’s against policy to give a time frame”, I ask if 11pm is the time, is my room comped? She responds, “You’d have to speak with manager”. Here’s the problem, only when I left did she ever engage with eye contact. It was like the Airport scene out of Meet the Parents when he’s trying to get a ticket to return home. Once we got our room, only 1 towel, called next morning for an additional towel, 2 hours and no towel. Upon hitting the tables for fun, was asked about a card. I had no clue and never once offered an explanation. I still don’t know what it is. Seems as though the check in person would have provided some sort of info etc. Never once was a card benefit mentioned. Too busy with the cattle drive I assume. I was shocked at the attire of guests. It’s pretty much beach casual so do not waste time wearing nice attire. When gaming, do not expect employees to engage. Never was able to order a drink. I’ve never seen anything like it. They’re like robots. I played for an hour and my wife couldn’t stand it any longer. Took off to Hard Rock, dressed in blazer and tie, ate at Ruth Chris, played their tables for 4 hours. Dealers cracked up and conversed throughout. Even the floor manager spoke to us. Never waited more than 10 minutes for a drink order. Unreal how different the feel is in places separated by 3 miles. One is a Super Bowl party, the other is a scene out of the Walking Dead. Trust me. Do not consider going to this property. It’s the first hotel where I’ve felt that it was an imposition to be a guest. Trust me, you’ve been warned. I don’t do reviews but felt an obligation to help others not make the same mistake. What an awesome experience once again! My wife is from here and now we live in Texas. We are VIP players at other casinos in the area. We discovered Scarlet Pearl roughly 4 months ago. Everytime we come it keeps amazing us! Our host Iris is the best host we have ever had the pleasure of working with. She is very responsive and does her best to ensure that the customer is taken care of. The food is absolutely awesome. The casino is cleaner than anywhere we have been on the coast. The Hotel rooms are superb to any room on the coast. We will continue to be loyal patrons of this casino. If you want the best of the best, this is where you belong!!!

The New Way to Win is the New Way to loose here at Scarlet. Boutique Casino that caters to its Guest ? Worse ever experiences ever as an EIP player. This casino only pays attention to those that are High Rollers and Even the high Rollers loose loose loose ...... dont be a sucker to your Executive Host or any of them disturbing you with Smiles. Eip & Scarlet cards in my book means the Biggest Loosers. At the tune of 700K slot in never did my wife and i called for any slot drawings or car drawings. Extremely disappointed and in fact Insulted seeing how the Hosts and Management will ignore you and not Even Greet you knowing how much has been lost in gaming at Scarlet. And for that reason We Will Not Return...... how insulting ..... Snobby upper management as well. comps are not worth the time and money.....

During my stay I lost my phone on the casino floor, I tried to contact lost and found to no avail. However, security manager Mr. Gibbs went above and beyond to check with surveillance and personally return my phone. If it was not for him and his dedication I would have been left with the headache of replacing my phone. Thank you Mr. Gibbs!
