We had a great time here staying for 25 nights. The food is reasonably priced and the rooms were cleaned whenever we asked rasanga the manager. The rooms have a kettle and a fridge for keeping the beers cold. The hotel does not have a license for alcohol but we turned that to our advantage by buying lion beer in the super market for 210 Sri Lankan rupees (75p). There is a bar across the road and the bar staff are friendly and helpful. Dillipi at the bar arranged our taxi back to the airport and he got up at 06.00 to make sure the driver was there on time. The pool was great and we sat there most days but if you wanted a swim in the sea you just crossed the road and you were on the beach which is 2 km long. There were shacks on the beach selling food and you can rent a bed for 300 rupees. The beers were 500 rupees and the food more expensive here. The best value for whole fish was in a small restaurant by the monkey beach hotel it is down a little lane just a little further up from the bar across the road. The fish I had here was a quarter of the price to what we paid on the beach. It's worth finding at we dined here several times. The only down side was no mattresses on the sunbed and also the water they served with your meal was not cold , they should keep it in the fridge or put ice cubes in. We took a little ice cube tray so that when we were sitting on the balcony with our gin and tonics we had ice cubes. We took a knife to peel and cut mangoes and papaya which we stored in the fridge in a sandwich box bought downtown. All in all a great place to stay

Booked 3 nights, one night in ground floor room no balcony, fly infested, a/c did not get rid of flies. Promised deluxe room for next 2 nights. Paid extra for breakfast, tea and coffee not included in price. Breakfast was eggs, stale bread, no fruit plate. 890 rupees. After fly infested room looking forward to Deluxe room only to be told not available as electric problem, offered discount on fly room declined offer decided to move on, got refund. There was no electric fault manger got higher price for our room.

This hotel is very cool. Only 11 rooms plus a couple of cabins. Rooms were very smart with absolutely stunning views of the ocean. Nice big barrooms, strangely no shower curtain. Restaurant was limited but service was exceptional and once they got under way the menu and food was delightful. Wonderful pool outside. Outdoor dining area. Lots of pool towels. The beach which is stunning is just about thirty metres from the gate. There are cafes and food stalls along the beach. No one annoys you. The manager was a good man. He was very helpful. I read some other reviews. They must have the wrong place. Everything here was very sharp. So it’s not brand new, buger off back to Germany if you want new.

One of the best hotel that i visit.. Best service for everything, rooms are well clean & best comfort .. Staff is very friendly and kind, and there service s is beter than most of hotels in south.. 👍👍😘

Besides the view everything is dirty. We had to ask for clean towels and bedsheets when we checked in. Room was super dirty and even worse the bathroom. At night cockroaches were having a party in the bathroom even while we tought we blocked the sour. Bedsheets had very dirty stains on it so did the towels. Even after getting ‘new’ ones they looked like someone swept the floor with it. The manager is not capable of doing is job the way it should be done
