This hotel is in my wife's village. We stayed here a few times and it is just phenomenal. There is a new owner putting a lot of care and effort into the place. Although the old owners were great as well. Good breakfast. Staff is amazingly nice. If you are traveling through the area I'd recommend this place for sure.

Nice but Overpriced Resort

We enjoyed our brief 1 night stay at the Doembang Villa in Suphan Buri. We stayed in a quaint and comfortable room near the river. The room itself was nice but dusty and the water pressure in the shower was very weak. Also, I was a bit frustrated with the staff which did not speak English. But if I asked them a question if they had bread available for breakfast, they would answer 'no' while later I found out that they did. Frustrations like this should not be tolerated especially if they're charging 1,500 thb per night. For this reason, I rate this place as an average 3 star experience. I would have been much more satisfied had they charged the room at 800 - 900 thb per night.

Pleasantly surprised

I was so surprised by this hotel. I travelled here for 1 night with a group of Thai friends and for the first time I was not simply ignored by the staff while travelling as foreigner with Thais, but warmly welcomed by the owners (in good English too :)). We stayed in Mayongchid bungalow. The rooms were comfortable and spacious enough and near the river. Although the restaurant closes a bit early at 20:00,the dinner was delicious. Breakfast was oke, very basic but enough choices.

we spent three nights at here within comfortable room and great staff ,they were friendly and helpful to every guests we saw ,location easy to find and neary by shop and sovenoir .we really enjoy n got best experince within service n acomodation.no dispointed .thanks

Stayed here with 2 kids , we are from Australia. Was quiet and a little out of the way, but a good break away from the masses.Great bike track kept the kids busy for hours.Great local food especially the local red fish.Cheap ,stayed in the traditional bungalow which was nice.Wifi , hot water and comfortable beds.The owner drove us around, took us to a great local market.We stayed here because of the proximity to Lopburi, because we wanted to see the monkey temples, and the owners actually drove us there on our way to our next destination of Ayathuya via a few other local attractions. Overall the friendliness of the owners made it a very enjoyable short stay.
