Hotel espetacular a beira de Dubai Creek

Fiz uma pesquisa rápida e achei esta pousada hotel no centro histórico de Dubai. Não esperava muito quando reservei, mas o local e as imediações me surpreenderam. O hotel é um verdadeiro castelinho. O quarto era maravilhoso. A comida excelente, café da manhã ótimo e funcionários muito atenciosos. Voltaria lá com certeza. Recomendo.

Very much enjoyed our four night stay in Room 102 situated in an enclosed courtyard. Veronica in reception is very charming and helpful and the service from the rest of the team is also excellent. We enjoyed the hotel dining sitting outside on the Corniche and breakfast every day was also good. We loved the area where this hotel is situated and it's very convenient for the Metro and buses. Also dined at the 'sister' hotel, The Arabian Courtyard, which we loved. Would highly recommend this small and friendly guest house.

We have to Barjeel Guest house several times and even invited our friends to the place. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, food is delicious and there is a variety of choices to address all the needs. Especially the rice with different kinds of meat and sea food. Great and thank you!

Horrible experience with no follow-through

I booked 1.5 month before arrival and received confirmation via email, saying that the booking was approved and prepaid. Several days before my arrival to Dubai, I get a message saying that my reservation was cancelled! I frantically emailed the hotel several times asking if there was anything I could do, with no response. I was left during a busy holiday time with no hotel and marked up prices due to the holidays. I suspect they charged much more money for the next guest for the room (we had booked in advance through a deal they were having at the time). Overall, horrible and stressful experience. Avoid this hotel.

We booked Barjeel Guesthouse after considering staying at one of the main high rise hotels available in Dubai. We were happy with our decision, the guesthouse offered larger than normal rooms, good service and was close to a range of public transport options. We found the sleep quality to be excellent, despite being there at NYE the room was very quiet and comfortable. The only let down was the breakfast as it’s very basic and the quality of offering could be improved without any great effort or impact on costing. If you are after an experience away from the mass produced high rise hotel style this could be one to consider.
