Ótimo custo beneficio para se ficar na Escocia. Quartos bem decorados e limpos. O serviço tambem nao deixa a desejar e a localizacao é boa. Vale mencionar a boa comida do hotel. Certamente me hospedaria de novo aqui.

Otima infra estrutura

Oh Dear, What happened? DIRE!

Booked on the app. Arrived around teatime when it was dark. First of all, very poorly lit. The entrance was completely closed off and we could not find a way in. We had been previously, before Covid and we simply did not recognise it. It looked like a run down travelodge from the outside. We parked in a disabled space (we have a blue badge) but walked right round the building trying to find an entrance in the dark. Only door we could find was the kitchen entrance and had to carry luggage upstairs through a really dodgy looking set of corridors. Kids were running up and down the corridors-possibly Ukranian children? Then we noticed a few Russian signs and wondered where on earth we were! The reception area is cordoned off- cant get in or out. Finally arrived at "reception" and asked "Is this The Marriott Delta Hotel?" Apparently it was and they are "rebranding" I have no idea who is in charge of rebranding but its extremely poor. No proper signs, when its dark you cannot even see the tiny a4 page of computer paper saying "this way" We didnt even see that you had to register your car registration number and no mention was made at check in that we had to register by the young lady with the foreign accent and glasses on duty on Saturday night 12th November. We did call once we had checked out and saw signs about registering your car in the daylight, receptionist (blonde lady on Sunday morning 13th November on duty around 9.45 am) said she would register, but I have no idea if she even gave the right registration number because she was foreign and refused to repeat back the registration number I gave her! We better not be fined! I was really concerned about staying here once we arrived. It did not feel safe and absolutely nothing like a Marriott hotel. We were offered a free drink for our inconvenience. No atmosphere in the bar whatsoever. There was a single gentleman in a corner eating his dinner. The Scottish Barman serving was really friendly though. Got to the room. Its as we had booked. A room with 2 double beds with a patio window that looked on to some weird interior corridor! I quickly closed the curtains. It was not good. The room was very dated, beds were uncomfortable. The air con blew but the room was still too hot so we didnt sleep well. TBH you go to a hotel and expect a comfy bed and a good nights sleep dont you? We got neither. In the morning, there was a glimmer of the old Marriott hotel we knew and loved as the breakfast room was as we remembered and was once very nice, but so sad to see it in the state it was in now. However, most of the staff didn't speak English. I asked one member of staff "Can I have some butter please?" and she looked at me... so I repeated and she still had no idea what I said and she certainly couldn't respond so another member of staff had to come and help. The bacon was under-cooked, the mushrooms dry and overcooked. No eggs apart from scrambled. The hash browns were soggy. Haggis was delicious but everything else dire! Croissants and pastries under a heat lamp??? Why??? It just made them greasy and inedible. Weird weird... weird! NOT a Marriott Breakfast in any way, shape or form. Oh thank you to the ladies who brought the tea and coffee though, they were pleasant. Is this hotel now being used for Eastern European refugees? If so, thats fine, but please tell us so we understand why theres signs in Russian everywhere and try not to hide whats really going on. A lot of the Ukraian refugees, especially children have been traumatised by their experiences, some of the children running around cowered when anyone walked past them. Yes, it wasn't expensive... £90+ for the night, but really very poor! What hotel did the other reviewers stay in when they said "this hotel is really luxurious"?? By the way. The pool has been closed for 3 years and will not open again. They are going to fill it in. BE AWARE If you have a wheelchair- you cannot get in or out of the building. They have made absolutely no adjustments for you to come in or out during their "rebranding". Probably just as well. Dont come here or waste your money because this is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in since I went to Turkey in 1985!! DIRE! I gave it 2 stars ... one cos the loo was clean and another for the barman and the tea/coffee ladies
