Me and my partner have just stayed two nights in the Judges room, the lovely staff in CJ's which is part of the Gothic guest house allowed us to check in early from as soon as we arrived to checking out we felt welcome and looked after. Couldn't recommend these two places more and if we are ever back in East Grinstead we will definitely pop in.

Booked a last minute stay here due to being stuck in the area due to the weather. The woman who booked us in was super amazing, lovely and very professional. Room was clean and tidy and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes the idea of staying above a bar!!

Such a warm welcoming place to eat and to stay Super friendly staff & very comfortable room. Had a lovely meal on the terrace with the most friendly service & a quiet & comfortable nights stay in a double room, with a view of the church Shower was super hot and powerful Great breakfast & all at a very affordable rate Big thanks to Alice for sorting out an initial problem & the drinks on the house x Highly recommend

Nice room, service poor

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting family. Room was quite nice, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was not so good. First occasion had to return poached eggs that were uncooked. Second morning we requested breakfast at 10.00 and we were still waiting 45 minutes later Considering this hotel has only 3 guest rooms this was unacceptable. We left without breakfast with no offer of a discount. Would not recommend this hotel/restaurant.

Uncomfortable Bed

We stayed here for one night in the Cromwell Room it was very clean and a pretty room, However the small double bed should be in a museum- the mattress was extremely uncomfortable and the bed creaked at the slightest movement (floorboards creaking in an old property is acceptable but not the bed). The television was not connected to an ariel and relied on a Firestick tor service which despite trying everything we could not get this to stream. Having a comfortable mattress / bed is a basic requirement for any hotel - we shall not be returning.
