Stayed for the weekend with husband and daughter in the Loft room. Very clean, spacious and comfortable. Lovely well organised breakfast. Excellent hosts who were very welcoming. Would highly recommend.

A truly lucky find for us at short notice, and a very fair price in view of the current climate when everyone is staycationing and there's hardly a room to be had anywhere. The Old Forge is quaint, cosy and comfortable with everything you could need or expect from a B & B (except possibly a poor vodaphone reception) and perhaps a bit more. The welcome was warm and the hosts offered a superb breakfast. Parking is ample and safe and the location is great too. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Excellent starting point for walking the Ridgeway

We walked from Avebury to East Kennett to start our walk along the Ridgeway . Very well equipped and well run B&B with the added advantage of a little kitchen attached to the room which was ideal for making packed lunches etc for the following day . Excellent breakfast . Lovely location .Very comfortable and clean and very 'covid secure' . Highly recommended.

Lovely stop over and great walks

This place is charming with a great bed with good linen and a kitchen. Good stealables and nice shower and towels. Great breakfast, efficient and pleasant hosts and a great location for walks Parking onsite and the owners kindly let us park there whilst we went on a walk. They also provide you with maps!

Anniversary Weekend

Amazing B&B in a gorgeous, picturesque location. We arrived on the Friday night as we were staying for the weekend checking out on Sunday Morning. The room was ready for us and stunningly presented even though we turned up 30 minutes before check-in started. I had ordered some flowers for my partner to be delivered there as it was our anniversary weekend and they had been delivered successfully and presented beautifully by the owners.We had a very spacious room with a full bathroom including a bath. There was also a well equipped kitchenette and a very large bedroom. The room was very clean on arrival and everything was thought about, even a few complimentary shortbreads with the tea and coffee making facilities. The hosts were fantastic and nothing was a problem. The breakfast was great. Very large, good choice and the food itself was beautiful and very tasty! The only bad point we can think of is the heating and temperature. Although the weather was cold the room continued to be rather chilly throughout the weekend. There was a heater provided with the room which came in very handy and did help to some degree. Overall would recommend and a wonderful stay for our anniversary.
