Foi muito agradável nossa hospedagem no Oneta. Isolado e completo.
Heartfelt Hospitality and Awe-Inspiring Adventure

I visited Oneta for a week in late November, traveling alone and eager for a week of relaxation, with a bit of adventure and exploration in between. What I got was so much more!
The smiling Isimeli and George greeted me at the Vunisea airport - and would go on to be excellent adventure buddies in the week to come. We were joined by the calm, affable Maika, who would be my dive guide for the week. On arrival, I was put up in the newly built, charmingly outfitted Shark Alley bure.
From trekking to kayaking to snorkelling and taking in Kadavu's breathtaking dive sites, Oneta's range of activities ensured that the days flew. As a new scuba diver, I felt like I was in capable hands with the dive team. We saw manta rays, nurse sharks, turtles and gorgeous reef life. My favourite dive memories so far are of swimming through breathtaking coral caves in Alacrity Reef's Split Rock site and watching a spotted eagle ray glide by at the Astrolabe Reef.
The warmth and hospitality of the Oneta team, including excellent housekeeping and delicious meals set against the beautiful backdrop of Kadavu's Ono island, rounded out the whole experience. I left a very grateful and rejuvenated traveler.
If you're an international traveler raring to go adventuring when borders open, take it from a local - Oneta is a place for heartfelt hospitality and awe-inspiring adventure.
To Richard and the Oneta family, thank you and vinaka vakalevu from a grateful Kadavuan.

Oneta Resort was truly fabulous - the staff, accommodation, food, activities, diving, snorkelling, massages - could not fault anything. We are very happy to have chosen this resort for a first time trip to Kadavu. Richard and his amazing team could not do enough for us. We were spoilt to have the whole resort to ourselves, to swim with mantas, and celebrate Fiji Day on a secluded beach with fresh fish cooked on an open fire - heaven...
Unparalleled Hospitality by Great Oneta Team

One of the greatest places I have ever traveled. Liz, Martin, Richard and the team were so helpful with our every request especially when it comes to arranging tours. Each tour was planned well in advance and the Safety of guests treated as the utmost priority for Oneta.
Highly recommended if you choose to travel to Kadavu. The location is close to many iconic places and activities. You can choose from an array of activities ranging from hiking, trekking, hunting waterfalls, fishing, snorkeling, diving, bird watching, and whatnot.
Oneta is accommodative for guest requests. Food is great and authentic, mostly sourced from their garden and near villages. Oneta has an awesome team who took care of us greatly.
Price is reasonable and you will experience the maximum value for money.
Hoping to see them again in December.......
Simply Beautiful & Soulful - Thank you

My husband and I visited Oneta for about a week in September 2019 and we can honestly say it has been one of our most memorable holidays!
Richard immediately welcomed us with open arms and the whole staff took great care of us. We did several trips and activities during our stay (snorkelling, school/church/local towns visit, botanical garden tour, beach barbecue, etc) and they were all amazing.
The kava ceremony evening with the traditional singing and fijian feast is unforgettable. I have often thought of this evening during the Covid curfew and wish I could go back in time for only one song - and a "bula"!
The location is naturally beautiful and very well-maintained. The rooms are very comfortable: great bed with mosquito net and outdoor shower/indoor bathroom (and no tv - we did not miss it). We had the one featured on the website and Tripadvisor (Turtle Lair) and the view was spectacular. Eerily quiet at night - a great opportunity to remember what silence sounds like and plenty of starry starry nights...
The food was delicious. I'm French, I can cook, and I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed unless you are a picky eater. Special mention: I am gluten-,dairy-, and soy-free and the chef always managed to adapt the recipes or cook something different. I was provided with almond milk at breakfast and for my room when I asked. I am very thankful as my antibodies (one inflammation marker for my illness) decreased during that time (I tested in October and November) so I know for a fact they were very diligent. Occasionally, we felt the portions were a tiny bit on the small side so if you like to nibble, have special dietary requirements like I do, bring some (packaged to avoid customs issues) snacks.
When we were there, each room was provided with mosquito repellent, use it! The Fiji brand (natural ingredients) is particularly effective.
You'll probably need two planes, a boat ride and a final walk in the ocean to reach the island but once there you will not want to leave!
Many thanks to the staff, Richard and our fellow travellers for the company and lovely conversations. Special thanks from my husband to Richard & the 40+ staff members for letting him watch the Rugby World Cup (Fiji/Australia) in their quarters in what he described as the most fanatical audience he'd ever seen! It was a lot of fun according to him!
And many thanks to the owners, Richard and the whole team for their dedicated work and commitment to share but also preserve such a quiet and soulful paradise.
