Really I insist ,the service was excellent. Only problem , no iron available and the food quality. Overall, it is an excellent value for money hotel, but with a service at the level of a high standing hotel

container with construction waste on parking. heating was not working so a hot air blower was brought, amazed look when i mentioned the interphone on the barrier was not working. Worst stay in a campanile ever

I'm sorry but I must say this is the worst hotel that I've stayed considering I travel for works and holidays. I have never felt so insulted in my dealing with hotel for staying with them. I was booking Uber to get to work and asked the hotel reception to show me on Uber app the pick up point for the hotel. The girl said "You have to walk out. Uber can't come in". I told her Uber came in yesterday. It was a cold Winter morning. She said "No, no. You have to walk out". I asked her where is the pickup point then. She said "You have to call him. I don't work for Uber". I was speechless. My 2nd bad encounter with the hotel is in regards to late checkout. I have long flight back at night and I asked for late check out. The night before departure, its staff, Leo said 2pm should be fine. He would ask cleaner to clean my room last but asked me to confirm with hotel reception the next morning if they could accommodate later check-out. The next morning, the reception told me the hotel is fully booked and can't accommodate late checkout. I said Leo said 2pm is fine as cleaner will clean my room last. She said I have to pay for late checkout, even for 1 hour late. I asked how much and she replied "Euro 45 till 6pm". I asked her "I thought you said your hotel is fully booked? Now, you can accommodate? Never mind, I will pay for it". At 5.30pm when I came back to hotel, I told hotel reception "I'm checking out soon. Can you please get my bill ready". This other lady said "No, it's too late for you to check out now. You need to stay 1 more night". I told her "No, I'm checking out as my flight is tonight. I will pay for late checkout". I went to my hotel room to freshen up. At 6pm, the reception still had not sorted out my bill for late checkout. Three hotel staff were talking and discussing for the next 10 minutes. One of the staff said I have to pay for late checkout. I told her Yes I will pay. Just settle the bill for me. I was really late for airport. One word to describe my experience with the hotel "Insulted". The hotel needs to review the service level and the way their staff talk to hotel guests. Rudeness is totally unacceptable, not just with hotel guests but with anyone.

A shame as we felt let down

We use this hotel regularly and have always been pleased however not so on this occasion. It was very hot on arrival and were are informed the air conditioner was not working and had not been for some weeks.surely a franchise should have access to a loan in situations such as this so 34c and nothing. We arrived for supper to be informed no salad bar and a very limited menu again as we had paid for Demi pension very disappointed in fact awful. The only plus point were the staff obviously under pressure and had been for some weeks but smiling. Not what we expect or had paid for. Looks like Mercure from now onwards that was our ninth stay at Ecully.

I traveled a lot in my life, but this has been probably one of worst places where I have slept. First, the room is tiny: 3x3xh2.5 m. It basically fits the bed and, if small, your luggage. Second, it has been renovated only partially, so you end up with half of the furniture that dates back to the '70s (or at least it looks like that). Third, the bathroom is clean but, in my case, the towels were really spotted (I think they did not check from the previous guest). Fourth, the room is quite stinky because of an old moquette and a couple of decorative pillows that are quite dirty and smellful. Fifth (but this is only my personal judgement) the room is dark and not looking cosy at all. All in all, a very sad experience given a non trivial price (approx 90 euros per night)
