The hotel we usually stay at nearby was booked and spent one night here while in the area. Surprisingly for this day and age, every staff member we met was pleasant and helpful. Very pleased, room on first floor was very clean and well kept. The breakfast is usual Homewood fare, but the staff was super- I came into the area as breakfast was closing and they offered to go into the kitchen and get me a plate of whatever that they had already removed.

I agree with another contributor that the current rating at 4 stars for this hotel isn’t a good assessment of the experience here. This hotel should really be closer to a 5 star rating. I loved everything about my stay here. The decor was modern and inviting. The room was fantastic. We got a king suite and the setup was very comfortable. There was a ceiling fan in the room which was a nice touch and not something I have seen at other hotel stays. The windows really did block out a lot of the street noise as we were facing the road. I also found the room very quiet and the bed very comfortable. Lots of good shopping and options close by with the Galleria and Southdale malls. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend for a bachelorette party and we had a great time. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it was lovely. The whole hotel looked very clean and modern. Loved the design and all the staff members were wonderful and helpful. I really couldnt find anything to critique. (I work at a hotel, so I take note when I stay places. as a hotel engineer, the only thing I can suggest is snaking the sink drain.) The breakfast was also very good. Loved the little omelets!

I generally leave reviews when I think the consensus rating is out of line with my own experience, and that was the case at the Homewood Suites Edina. This place is definitely closer to a 5* on TripAdvisor instead of its current 4* average. STRENGTHS: - The property still feels and smells brand new, with nice design and high build quality. The rooms have a modern and fun green/blue vibe compared with older Homewood Suites. - Extremely warm and welcoming front desk staff. I didn't get her name, but the woman who was working at the front desk on Aug 1, 2022 at 10PM deserves to get a raise! She is in the top 1% of front desk staff of all hotels I've ever stayed at. - Room windows were very sound insulating. We were facing the busy road outside but we hardly heard anything. - Loved that it was pet friendly and that the staff welcomed our dog. Plus, loved the picture of the cute beagle in the elevator! WEAKNESSES: - As mentioned by other reviewers, the beds did feel firmer than average. - Free breakfast is always a plus, though the quality and selections were average. - The free WiFi was a bit slow. As with many other chains, I find that Homewood Suites are generally very good but can vary in quality, especially depending on when it was built or last renovated. The Edina location is very nice and new and is perhaps the best Homewood Suites location I've stayed at so far. I would definitely return.

Quiet clean hotel with extras

Came with a bus tour and stayed two nights. Rooms were clean and had a small kitchette in the room I stayed in. Got a room on the corner which gave you a triangular room which gave plenty of space. Hallways quiet the whole stay. Pool but no hot tub. Used the BBQ outside and cooked meals there. Worked great. Staff were attentive and friendly.
