My boyfriend and I came from out of town and booked a room here. It was the most unpleasant hotel stay either of us had had as a couple or individually. Customer service was of extreme low quality. The hallways were unsafe with no security for the well-being or safety for guests. Would not recommend.
Never going here again
I have stayed at this hotel years and years ago and it was alright. So we decided to mix it up from where we normally stay and book here (we normally stay at the coast west Edmonton hotel). The Rosslyn hotel was a disaster. We booked it through Expedia and that was fine but once we got there we checked in, went to the room and saw that they were fumigating for bugs. We decided after a few minutes that we could not stay there. So we went to the front and they didn’t help much. After we left I called Expedia and it took a while but they helped to get us situation in another hotel. The Rosslyn did comp us one of the two nights so we would get a refund for one night and put us in a different room on a different floor. I’m sorry but if you have a bug problem than why would I want to stay at this hotel at all?!?! So we ended up going back to the coast hotel on the west Edmonton for our two nights in town that is not only cheaper and nicer but in a better spot for what we needed.
A Nice Quiet Stay
We spent a evening at this hotel for the 1st time in over 10 years and they have done very nice improvements. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Everything we Needed
I booked a suite in this hotel for the location as it was close to my nieces. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice our suite was. The front desk staff were very friendly at check-in and were very helpful with any of our questions and needs throughout our 4 night stay. The suite was very clean and there were no problems. The bed was comfortable and there was a choice of two pillows, one fluffy and the other flatter which I appreciated as I like a flat pillow. We ate at the restaurant and the service was fantastic and the food was great. The housekeepers were very friendly and even as I walked down the hall they would always say hi. I would highly recommend this hotel and for the price it was impressive.
Horrible and Painful 4 nights
Checked into Rosslyn on Sept 23 after a 5 hour drive and arrived at 4:30. Front desk staff was unfriendly and could not look us in the eye. First time staying here and headed to our room #220. Outdated but relatively clean but room really smelled. Headed to bed around 10:30 as a busy few days were ahead and we needed good nights sleep. Booked King size bed. Much to our dismay the bed was horrible and the pillows hard bundles of ???? I don’t know. So uncomfortable. The bed sunk in the middle so get up head up and head on a high hard painful pillow. I got no sleep and neither did my husband who had a stressful and busy days ahead. I got up to suffer with severe lower back pain. We turned the mattress for the second night. And it was much the same. This mattress needs to go in the garbage period. Cleaning staff did a fair job and we tipped them. The restaurant Canyon Grill. Is ok. Not great but you can manage a fair lunch and dinner if need be. Hotel is in great location with lots of stores and amenities. Checked out Sept 26. A little friendlier staff. Will never return. Chiropractor visits will be in order after my painful 5 hour drive back home.
