We loved every minute of our vacation!

Every thing was fantastic! The service was impeccable, everyone we’re super nice and attentive.
The hotel is lovely! We loved the pool area and the huge beach, perfect for kids with so many options: outdoor playground, indoor play room, movie nights etc.
The room was great too, clean and comfortable.
I read a few bad reviews on the food but we were happy with the variety and the quality.. can’t complain.
Thank you so much Seda Lio! We will definitely come back
SEDA Lio: A Gem in the Pearl of the Orient Seas

From the get-go, I already knew that we were in very good hands.
Seda’s booking agent, Aly, was very responsive to my laundry list of queries (since my husband and I were bringing our two kids aged one and four), and made sure that she was able to reply right away. She also guided me through the minute processes of securing all the required permits, hotel confirmation, and plane tickets, which were all required for Seda Lio’s travel bubble.
Our second worry was the plane ride to and from Manila, given our situation, especially in NCR. But again, our anxiety was quickly quelled as we were greeted by the wonderful AirSwift (the airline partner of Seda Lio) staff at NAIA 3, who made sure that all guests were practicing the mandated health and safety protocols.
We were also assisted by Marcus Naval of Seda who checked (and double-checked) that we had all the relevant QR codes and permits at the airport. Most importantly, he ensured that EVERYONE was in the plane bound for Palawan (Thanks again, Marcus!).
Once in the plane we could immediately see that the ground crew of AirSwift made sure that families and/ or groups were seated together, and that everyone was wearing their face masks and face shields at all times.
Staying at Seda Lio
When we arrived in El Nido, we were all driven to the resort according to groups/ families. The 5-minute drive was pleasant as we passed through the lush forests of the island, through narrow (but SAFE) bridges over marshes.
And as we entered the resort, we were met with a sense of grandeur thanks to the wide and open spaces of Seda Lio’s lobby. It was truly a breath of fresh air after more than a year of buildings, lockdowns, and congestion.
One would think that four days and three nights in El Nido would be too long, but Seda Lio has made sure that guests would never run out of activities during their stay. They are equipped with three spacious pools, a game room for kids, an outdoor setup for children’s movie nights, a spa, a poolside bar, a gym, a lagoon for kayaking (you can schedule this), a hiking trail, and, of course, their beachfront.
We even had the chance to learn Origami using palm leaves thanks to their guide and pool attendant, Eddie- who patiently tried to teach us how to transform the leaves into grasshoppers, fish, birds, and, most difficult of all, HATS!!
Our hotel room was also more than enough for a family of two adults and two kids. They even provided us with a cot for our 1-year-old, and there was still enough space to run around the room. Due to the pandemic, housekeeping services were limited to minimize any contact between guests and staff, however Seda Lio has provided all rooms with a small table outside to leave soiled towels, bath mats, and water bottles, for replenishment.
Food was also included in our package, so we came back home with an inch or two added to our waistlines (Goodbye beach bodies, DAW). Lunch, breakfast, dinner, were all buffet, and prepared by the kitchen staff of Seda, led by the skilled Chef Marvin (BEST TAPSI EVER, Chef!).
Breakfast was usually your standard fare, but dinners were special with a different carving station each night! The first one was roast herbed chicken, the second, grilled mackerel, and the third- crispy pata. These are all accompanied by other dishes, most notably freshly caught seafood from around the island (my mouth is watering thinking about it!).
If you booked an island tour, food (usually lunch) would be packaged per family bilao-style. Seda’s coordinator, Anna, made sure that our meals were in order, and even accommodated some requests to modify the food choices a little (thank you, Anna!).
It’s also worth noting that their pastries are excellent! We requested to have a cake prepared for my son’s birthday, and we only managed to bring home a small slice after devouring it during our stay. The waffles, pandesal, pancakes and other breads all seemed to be home made to thanks to their in-house pastry chef (who happens to be the wife of the GM).
Thank you Seda Lio!
The staff, much like everyone mentioned here, were all great, always smiling, and made sure that we were always comfortable. Four days was not enough in this little gem in the WEST PHILIPPINE SEA.
Too many names of wonderful people to mention, but we are very grateful!
We hope to visit again soon!
Thank yo, Seda Lio!
Safe Travel During Pandemic

Travel is still necessary to keep a balanced life. We can’t mope forever about the situation we are in so we braved the pandemic and booked a 4-day travel bubble package…and Seda Lio excelled in making everyone feel safe and secure. Being a point-to-point travel package, some 70 of us in the group flew all together to/from El Nido in a chartered plane, after securing a negative RT-PCR test, QT ID and a Safe Travel pass.
To add to our peace of mind, families were seated distanced from each other during the full board meals, and provided with private boats for island tours. Minimal contact between guests and masked staff were maintained. The restaurant’s doors were kept open, even though aircon was on, to have free-flowing air. A table was placed outside each room door to put empty water bottles for refill, or dirty towels for change. There is no housekeeping service during your stay. Face masks and plastic gloves are provided in each room. Info about the menu, bar list, amenities, activities, etc can all be accessed by QR codes. Seda Lio does not leave any stone unturned…even the pens to sign vouchers during checkout are sanitized. Transport to/from the airport were done in batches, per family.
With all these precautions taken by the management and staff, you are guaranteed to fully enjoy your stay in this beautiful destination, knowing you are in safe hands.
