These are a very economic apartments, and some of the reviews on here had me worried. However, a very comfortable bed & pillow, delightful view of the Olive Grove, kettle, fridge, basic but clean and adequate furnishings and shower. Phone available to speak to the main hotel - needed to ask for a hair dryer. Was delivered to my room without a problem. I did bring a plug, having read this might be needed, so was pleased I did. Hot water always seemed available. If you want higher standards of furnishings, etc, simply pay more.

When we first arrived we were very disappointed we had booked a two bed apartment at Elouda Residence so when we arrived to find we were actually booked into the sister hotel Olive Garden we were not happy. We were given two rooms both shabby and unloved. We were told we could use the pools at the Residence and a free bus was provided however the bus only ran every other hour and not at lunch time. The room was clean with air conditioning and a fridge. Free WiFi kept my son happy and it was an easy walk in to town.
Comfortable bed easy access to town

Having booked to stop in the water park being placed in The Olive Garden was at first a big disappointment. However the rooms were comfortable with air conditioning in each room and a good shower and working fridge. It was a short walk into town. The rooms looked a bit sad and unloved but we're clean. The swimming pool and main site were a bus ride away. The bus was free but only ran every other hour.

My husband and I spent 10 days at these studios 11th -21st September. I must admit when we arrived in the afternoon by taxi that took 50 minutes because we didn't do a package deal and looked at Olive Garden our hearts sunk. Big disappointment, nothing like the photos. The outside very shabby and tired looking. But we phoned the sister Hotel and within 5 minutes and man arrived with paperwork and keys and showed us to number 9. Was not happy at first sight with studio dark and basic. Balcony had no view because of a great big tree covering the whole of it. Everything very old in room . We decided, well we are here now have to make the most of it not to spoil our holiday. But after a couple of days for a 2 star it was ok. The studios were cleaned every day. We had clean white fluffy towels and crisp white sheets every other day. There was plenty of hot water every night. I asked the young cleaner for a hair dryer and got one straight away. A bulb in a lamp blew, replaced no problem. Free air conditioning and safe ( which in a lot of places you have to pay for speaking to people we had met.) Free wifi that was good. Also where our studio was it was very quiet. The tv was rubbish, but who goes away to watch telly? When we go on holiday, we want to be out and about - on beach- tours- discovering the area and enjoying the weather. I'm not going to complain about studios because they were 2 star. They worked for us, you only need the basics clean beds- towels- hot water and not noisy at night. Its a shame the owners can't spend some money and update them so they are more modern. From the front of studios there is a bus stop - small supermarket- and if you follow a slope pass the shop. It takes you along the waterfront and nearest beach. This is the best way to walk into town because there are no pavements up on the road which does get busy. If you go this way at night make sure you have a torch on your phone. If you turn left outside apartment and walk 5mins there is a bigger and better supermarket. Its 15 to 20 mins to the town. But walking the waterfront way is better.

Like the previous reviewer I can not believe that tour operators are sending clients to this property. The service on arrival was shocking. After the coach driver tried to drop us off at the wrong apartments, and just over 2 & 1/2 hours On the coach we waited another 40 minutes for someone to come from the residence hotel to "check us in". There is no reception area, no toilet to use whilst waiting. The property and grounds are dreadfully run down. The table on the balcony unusable as uncovered chip board giving splinters. The taps didn't work properly both kitchen and bathroom. Fridge was so old and noisy it had to be switched off at night, so totally useless. The only good thing was the cleaning service and linen changes. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend anyone does. I have visited Crete 5 times and made many trips to other islands. I know how Greek accommodation is, but this was dated, musty smelling, run down and totally depressing.
