Beautifully designed hotel perched on the scenic cliffs overlooking the iconic Cardiff surf break. This is one of the most beautiful properties you will find on the west coast. It is what California is all about without the cheesy surfboard and skateboard motif. It is sophisticated and elegant and reserved but friendly and relaxed. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and well appointed. The condensed milk for your morning expresso is a nice touch. The almond surfboards, and artist in residence program are nice details that shows the owner understand placemaking and celebrate local culture.

In the short, less than 24 hour period that we spent at Alila Marea, the staff went well above and beyond to ensure a perfect experience that was beyond our expectations. We were celebrating my wife's completion of chemotherapy for breast cancer. They gave us a spectacular room upgrade, free cookies, and just impeccable service. There was a welcome drink, and we ordered room service for breakfast the following morning- which was outstanding. Views are fantastic. The hotel is minimalist chic and effortless in its design and feel. The pool area and hot tub is equally wonderful. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Being stereotyped. When I checked in I was asked by one of the bellman if I was staying at the resort or eating at the restaurant, and I kindly said that we were staying at the resort and before we went in he asked me again as if he didn’t believe me. When we were picking up our car another bellman brought it and asked if we were sure that we were staying there and if we were sure that it was car, I’m my head I was like(of course it’s my car it’s a Honda)😂 the attitude overall was very degrading towards us in the broke community lol. The housekeeping and maintenance staff were outstanding 💅🏽

Beautiful place with beautiful pool and spa

The view from the resort is great, and the pool is beautiful, providing a relaxing atmosphere for guests to enjoy. Additionally, the breakfast served at the resort was super delicious, especially the Kimchi Fried Rice. This could be a highlight of the resort for some guests, as it adds to the overall experience and enjoyment of the stay.

We were here for a business event. The facilities, rooms and service were outstanding. The Ocean View room for our meetings; beautiful. Loved the Pocket as well. The staff was excellent. My room had an amazing patio with a fire pit patio.
