Disappointing check in
Avaliou em 13 de junho de 2021
Disappointing check in experience. BTW: this hotel is not new anymore. The hallways had a funky smell, sorry no other way to describe it. The hallway looked dirty and the carpet was in rough condition. Thankfully my room was clean. Linens were clean. Hot breakfast was good. It’s difficult to find a parking spot if you arrive in the evening. They are allowing large trucks/ campers to take up two and three spots. The most frustrating part was checking in and asking if a better rate was available And was informed that there was not. While standing at the elevator to go to my room, a gentleman came in with no reservation and got a room $20 / night less than mine. This was very disappointing since I am a member of the IHG group
Great Stay at Holiday!

The hotel was clean and staff was helpful. I was pleased with the quality of the bed linens and the mattress (not to firm, and definitely not that worn-out too soft feeling). And a real plus, they cleaned our room!!! None of this 3 day stay to get clean towels or your trash emptied. I really appreciated this service. Way to go Enid Holiday Inn. You're attention to service gets you 5 stars. Note: still no hot breakfast items - thanks COVID restrictions.

Stayed here for one night while in the area for work. The hotel was quiet and convenient but when I took a shower the next morning I found facial hair stubble all along the shower wall. It looks like the housekeeping staff could use a review of how to turn a room.
Pool was cold and hot tub broken

Hotel was conveniently located to the Leonardo’s Children’s Museum and we got a great price from a third party hotel site. However, most disappointing was the pool and hot tub. The advertised indoor heated pool was cold and the hot tub was blocked off and under repair. Part of the reason we chose this hotel was so the kids could swim after our long drive in from Texas. So that was a fail. It would have been nice if the hotel posted a message on their website that their hot tub was broken. Aside from the pool issue, it wasn’t too bad. The beds were soft and comfy. The included breakfast was very good. The shower height was a bit short for me of average height. And the room was a bit quiet for my liking. I’m used to having a fan going to create some white noise. Overall, I felt that the hotel was dark, unlike the photos where everything looks so bright. So, I would make sure that the pool is in working order, but if you’re not terribly concerned about the pool, I think that you would enjoy your stay.
Mold in Air Conditioner Unit

I have stayed at this hotel off and on for several years and have found it to be average. I stayed in it on Monday and was overwhelmed by the mold smell in my room. I asked to switch rooms and the very nice young ladies moved me to a room that was better. It was still moldy, but better. I have a mold allergy which causes me terrible headaches and gives me ear infections so I don't like to stay in a room that I can actually smell the mold. It reminded me of hotels in Houston and New Orelans which are always moldy. I contract Miniere's disease because of mold when I lived in Corpus Christi. The hotel is perfectly fine most of the time but they need to clean their air conditioner coils. I won't stay there again. I may not have much luck at any others, but I won't knowingly go back to this location. I did write an email to the hotel but got no response. This is the 3rd Holiday Inn Express in Oklahoma where I've had this problem in the last two months.
