Wonderful place and staff

Me and my wife stayed at Dar Les Sirenes for a total of 7 nights. We had a wonderful time. Initially, we planned to stay 3 nights, but the comfortable rooms, sunny terrace, and above all else, the dedicated and lovely staff inspired us to stay much longer. The place is clean and beautifully decorated with local art and furniture. The rooftop terrace offers a nice opportunity to sun bathe, with a fair amount of cover from the ever strong winds. Our trip was made especially lovely by the ever smiling and supporting staff. I got food poisoning by eating at the fish market, upon which the cook made us a soup for dinner twice in a row and the staff brought up medicine and a thermometer to our room. Overall, it really was a home away from home. Highly recommend.
A true gem!

We have stayed at three other riads in Essaouira over the past two years. We rated this riad the best for the following reasons: 1) The morning breakfast was exceptional. 2) The staff were friendly, and helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate when we asked anything of them. We asked for Berber Eggs one morning and they made them for the following day. Another day asked for some dry cleaning to be done, which was quickly procured. Great people as well! 3) The rooftop terrace was large and inviting 4) The room was clean, and large and had a small balcony. We realize that we probably had one of the largest rooms, but all the rooms we saw were unique and nice. I would have to say that you will not be disappointed in choosing this riad.

The bed was very comfortable and the linen good. The architect who designed it must not have thought how awkward to actually stay and use the place. Polished grey concrete bathroom with a bow balanced on a stand, not bathroom shelf. The bedroom, a cell, one tiny window up against the city wall so no view and not much light, the other window onto the landing so curtain had to be closed . Breakfast, whilst served and prepared by a lovely young lady, was chaotic, she obviously had no training. No, do not recommend The rooftop terrace had paint and plaster falling off the walls, the 2red “sunloungers” were fit for the scrap heap and the other seating was tired.Dying plants wonky parasols. In need of some upgrading

We would have liked to stay at Riad Chbanate but it was fully booked so we stayed at Dar Les Sirenes. We were still welcome to spend time and have delicious meals at Chbanate. All the staff at both riads are wonderful. Special thanks to Gregy, Hicham and Said who all went out of their way to make us feel at home. Gregy was especially kind with us and with our 2 year old daughter. She still says his name after one month back home! Thank you! Both riads are tastefully decorated but Chbanate is trully special. We would definitely recommend.

Warm greeting upon arrival; very friendly staff. Nice welcoming cozy design of the hotel. They did not speak any English (French is good), but if you had further questions you could inquire at the sister hotel, Riad Chbanate, (which is just a minutes walk away) where they can further assist. Our room was clean and included a comfortable bed, night stands, a heater, wardrobe, two chairs, small table, a window to outside, and a window to the inside of the hotel. Bathroom had a large shower with great hot water (we visited during winter), toilet, sink, toiletries, and hairdryer. Great fresh squeezed orange juice in the morning. Spacious common area that includes a fireplace. Very quiet hotel and we rested well. Not a far walk to the bustling areas of the Médina for restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend!
