Wonderful hotel. Great staff, comfortable & clean rooms - we had bathroom with a bath. Good food and bar. I m vegan and there were options for dinner - I had beans on toast for breakfast, hubby had full english. Serious value for money. Good spot, eady to get to and to get around; we visited Exeter and Exmouth. We will be back! Recommended

Another amazing stay

We have stayed here in the past and always enjoyed it. But this time it seemed to be extra special. Room was spacious and very clean. Equipped with all essentials and good tea tray. Staff brilliant, you cannot fault from reception, to restaurant to housekeeping. Food very good quality and served HOT, Will be back soon

Good value for money. Convenient location with lots of free parking. Really nice reception staff. Room a little tired but clean. Bed was comfortable and bedding immaculate. I saw some reviews where people didn’t like the motel like rooms away from the the main building but it was actually much quieter than a traditional hotel where you hear people banging through doors etc all night. I didn’t eat at the hotel but the bar/restaurant looked nice and the menu was reasonably priced.

Walked 2 hours from Exeter after a night out to spend the night. Would not reccomend but the hotel called and gave me instructions to get in. Decent nights sleep and a nice shower. Woke up in the morning and the receptionist brought me a meal (clearly exaghsted and hungry) and I was impressed by her kindness. Nice staff nice sleep, what more would you want?

Disgusting hotel

I stayed here thankfully for just one night for work . It looked decent enough on the website. I arrived very late after a long journey . The rooms are in chalet blocks across the carpark . As soon as I opened the door to the corridor leading you to all the rooms it absolutely stunk of cigarettes & it wasn’t just the block I stayed in as my colleague says the same . The corridors were filthy & it looked like it hadn’t been painted since the 80s My room was filthy ! It even smelt filthy . It had cobwebs on the ceiling & when I moved my bedside table to find a plug it was thick with hair & dust in bedded in the old stained carpet . The cleaners definitely clean & hoover around everything (although didn’t look like mine had been cleaned at all ) The only positive was the bathroom was nice .. but that’s just because it looked like it had just been newly refurbished I tried to look at near by places to book into , but it was late and everyone had sold out so I had no choice but to stay there I slept in my full pyjamas as I just didn’t want anything touching me ! I wrapped a towel around the dirty , dusty headboard & couldn’t lay on my front to sleep because of the smell of the dusty carpet . In the morning I just feel dirty I went to the reception & I was really nice to the lady on reception as it’s not her fault ! I gave my feedback on the room & advised that the room really needs a deep clean ! The reception apologised and said she would get a manager to call me ?! No one ever did ! The room was well over £100 for the night ?? It’s crazy to me how a hotel of this poor standard charges this ? I understand everything’s gone up but I wouldn’t of put my dog in this room !! I haven’t written a review as I expected the hotel to call me but sadly no one did ?! My advice is this hotel needs a huge tidy up !! And I would avoid it at all costs !!!
