Not the best !
We were dropped off at the hotel at 10:30pm on a Friday night, the bar was shut and after checking us in ,everyone vanished! . The room was your typical Greek room, which was very dated plus bedding older than the Acropolis itself, Bathroom small with tiny shower cubicle , unfortunately the previous guests were either related to a sasquatch or cousin It from the Addams family the room was littered with hair. Cleaning standards not up too much, pillows were stained to the extent we used our beach towels as extra cover for protection. Geographically the hotel is opposite a dual carriageway on the main Rhodes to Lindos route and is very busy but apart from a petrol station there is nothing locally to make your holiday experience an enjoyable one. The two kilometres walk into Faliraki is well worth the effort, plenty of bars and eateries yet to my surprise Breakfast at the hotel was nice and one night we had a meal there which again was OK , so basically not the best, maybe Jet2 could do an unannounced audit on this place so standard's can be monitored.
Everything perfect except the dreadful room
This would have been a 5* review if not for the room. We booked our 2 week holiday with Jet2 Holidays. We had never been to Rhodes before and loved it the Hotel is ideally situated 10 minutes from Faliraki centre and 20/30 minutes to the beach, its situated on a busy main road which we never really noticed, it was handy because you can turn right out of the hotel and catch a bus either to Rhodes town one way or Lindos the other, the bus service on this side of the Island is great, cheap, runs on time and the drivers are very helpful. We had breakfast in the hotel every day it was great value and we loved the Greek and Continental Breakfast, only ate once at night that was also great, we loved the cocktails, death by chocolate and the mojitos recommended mojitos made with fresh mint from the garden. The pool was fantastic very clean and we could always get a sunbed, the hotel provides clean beach towels to use every day and they is a basket of sun lotions in case you run out. The owners were very helpful and friendly throughout. The room was small, dirty had worn out old furniture and the air con (€8 a day) struggled to keep the room cool, the worse bit was the bathroom, the shower was powerful with lots of hot water unfortunately the shower curtain did not reach the tray and the tray was very shallow which meant the whole bathroom flooded, however carefully you used it, would have been fine if it was a wet room but the tiles when wet were very slippy, we resorted to putting beach towels on the floor to soak up the water and prevent slipping. Talking to other guests it seems all the rooms in the block next to the pool are similar to ours but the block where the bar is are larger and seem more modern. We did ask if we could move rooms but this was not possible as the Hotel was full being peak season. When we got back home we complained to Jet2 that the room we had was nothing like the ones in the brochure and how old and dirty it was, we got fobbed of and told and i quote - "From the images you’ve provided of your room, I can see wear and tear on the furniture which the Hotel Manager will do their upmost to keep on top of, however, I hope you can understand is inevitable during high season." so i guess the room will be perfect out of season!!!!! We have booked next years holiday again with Jet2 but obviously not this hotel which is a shame.
Very good stay
Just back from week stay here this place is very good an clean food is great an room has everything u need clean pool area peaceful beside a main road but it’s not as bad as reviewers have said 13 min walk to strip an main part of town few supermarkets close by an restaurants so if you see some bad reviews ignore them you won’t be disappointed
Just want to thank Irene and all her lovely family for yet another fantastic holiday. Food was amazing as always, room always clean, pool area spotless. Would recommend to anyone to stay at this friendly place.
Great Value for money!
Owned and ran by Jordan and Irene this hotel is very much a Island hotel in that the beds are hard, the hob is unnecessary and everyone is friendly. It also gets rated as a two star but your experince should be much more than that. This is down much to the weather, the hotels chill atmosphere and the fact you dont really need to leave unless you want juice and crisps for your room. The later of which the bar does sell to take away. We only stayed 4 days full while in Rhodes for a weekend holiday so you could argue its easy to be positive if you only paid for a quick break but that would do this place a disservice. Overall my group had a really pleasant stay and if you give it a chance and just try a couple of things on the menu I find it hard to believe too many people would rule out the old windmill later down the line. A couple of things to note- Pros: Situated about 5 mins walk from nearest shop and bars. Well stocked Bar Decent breakfast. Excellent to buy air conditioning Good pool, with decent music Lots of ice creams Chilled atmosphere Approachable hosts Out of way of main strip but easily walkable Books to loan Allowed to check out late at reasonable price (€3 per extra hour, we kept room until 7pm) Cons: On main road with plenty traffic Rooms dated (still comfortable) Beds like shelves Wifi not that great Tips: Get air con as soon as you check in as its boling especially in the hight of summer Breakfast is very reasonable (€7 for full English and a drink, small English €5 with drink) Ask owners if you want something. They were very accommodating (late checkout, wifi codes, dietry requirements etc) Look past the 2 star hotel rating, lots of little extras that you wouldnt expect to be listed on a website Best beds for all day sun in the corners next to road. Cats everywhere in Faliraki so watch where your walking late at night (they blend in)
