Perfect for one night

Avaliou em 9 de setembro de 2022

Room 7 was clean and comfortable although a bit tight on space it was absolutely fine for one night. Parking on the drive or road outside the house. 15 minute walk into town via road or the park which is opposite the house. No breakfast but there is tea and coffee in the room. Bathroom has a shower which again was more than adequate.

Clean but definitely avoid the “ luxury twin en suite on the top floor!”

Avaliou em 13 de agosto de 2022

As ex hoteliers and inspectors , very disappointed with the luxury twin en suite we booked. It was up two flights of stairs the latter being steep and spiral! Very dangerous and definitely not suitable for anybody with a health or joint problem! Also although the weather is at the moment extreme, it is a room with no air as it’s extremely small being in the apex roof. Nowhere to sit other than on the bed. Expensive too as no breakfast available.

Broadmead B&B Stay

Avaliou em 22 de fevereiro de 2022

A lovely B&B located across from Kimberley Park; about 5 mins up the road from the local National Express coach stop-off on Berkeley Vale, and no more than 10 mins in total to reach the High Street / Prince of Wales Pier. My single room was quite compact, with all possible amenities provided, along with having my own bathroom. A very comfortable bed too – no complaints there. Entry/access to the premises & allocated room is via code – hence, you need to ensure that you receive the code for access purposes in good time. I literally saw no one else as I was coming and going, for the most part, during my overnight stay, and rather quiet premises too. To note, there was no breakfast offered on the premises, nor any alternative breakfast vouchers provided in order to dine in any one of the nearby eateries. I appreciate that we have still been adhering to COVID restrictions – however, I’ve since stayed at other venues (eg. located in Essex & Norfolk in January 2022) and have been served breakfast as part of my stay, which didn’t present any issues. Hence, as much as I really enjoyed my stay at the Broadmead B&B, it was somewhat overpriced for lack of breakfast being included in the price. Maybe this could be addressed once again, once restrictions are fully lifted…?

Ok for short stay

Lovely room which was comfortable, clean and well presented with a nice ensuite shower but being at the front was lots of road noise especially with the wet weather outside. No phone signal in room or 4G and phone would not stay connected to WiFi so had to go out to make a phone call (in the rain). No breakfast available but plenty of places to eat within 5mins walk. Parking not so good but was able to park on street so not a show stopper. As said the room was good and a very clean guest house so would certainly return. Mark.

Clean but avoid top floor.

Avaliou em 9 de setembro de 2021

Clean and newly refurb’d but avoid top floor rooms. We were impressed with cleanliness and nice new bathroom but concerned with the staircase to top floor. Especially when carrying luggage. The treads were not wide enough to fit your foot on and narrow spiral meant they disappeared to nothing. I am a fit 50 year old who doesn’t mind an adventure but these stairs left me dreading going up and down them. Stick to first floor if you can.
