Money grabbing cheats!

Avaliou em 30 de junho de 2019

We arrived in our camper van and I asked if we could park overnight if we had an evening meal. They said yes, so we went for it. When the bill came, which wasn’t cheap anyway, they explained they had added 15 euros to cover the overnight parking, which I thought was distinctly cheeky, given they’d said nothing about a charge and we’re providing nothing but overnight parking. I asked them to add a tip to make up the bill to 90 euros but have subsequently found that they put 95 euros through on my card. Meal was ok but I feel very cheated. From other reviews, I get the impression that they’re very happy to rip you off! In my case, it was downright dishonest.

Overcharged and mouse droppings

Avaliou em 1 de maio de 2019

On checking in the unfriendly proprietor asked if I wanted to pay the tax de sejour by card or cash (which I thought odd) so I paid by card at the same time as for the room. On checking the details on booking.com I found that this tax had already been included. On challenging the proprietor the next morning she refused to refund the double charging and said I had to take it up with booking.com. It seems to be similar to the experiences of other reviewers. There were mouse droppings all around the microwave in the room. Would not recemmend.

Avoid if you want a reliable stop over

Avaliou em 5 de outubro de 2016

We booked two nights at this hotel in July/August for as a stop over on the way too and from the south of France. We booked it months in advance and payment was taken straight away. The night before our crossing we stayed in Folkstone and received an email at 1030 pm from booking.com advising the hotel had cancelled our booking. They offered an alternative that would not allow children of which we had three. We ended up having to drive to our destination without a stop arriving after midnight and thankfully our host was very accommodating. Due to not wanting to be let down again on the way back we cancelled our return stay a week before the date and found a reliable hotel. Today is 05 October and we have just received our money back directly from booking.com. This took 20-30 emails and as many phone calls. The way this hotel treated a family of five and compounded it by refusing to pay us back is disgusting. Based on another review its not the first time.

Quirky place with nice food

Avaliou em 17 de setembro de 2016

We stayed at Le Fauverney lodge on our way down to the midi Pyrenees . It was easy to find after a long drive . We had a room at the top of the house . It was very nice but even though there was a kettle and mugs no tea / coffee was provided fortunately I had bought some so we where ok . The food was good I had a vegetarian curry with aubergine my partner had malai curry . Both very tasty but very small portions and quite expensive as was the beer . We had a nice breakfast the next day at a time we chose . Would recommend this place for a stop off or if you are planing to visit the area

I didn't manage to stay here, but had to fight for my money back

Avaliou em 17 de julho de 2016

I had to cancel my booking (within a free cancellation period) and then found the hotel had already taken payment (3 weeks before due arrival). I then had a battle to get my money back. In the end the booking company and my bank had to put pressure on the hotel. It was more than 2 weeks before I received a refund. I was not impressed, so would not consider satying here. Poor customer service
