Will Not Return
This was the fourth Hilton hotel we stayed at during our trip to and from Florida and clearly it was the worst. Many little details showed the property’s decline and poor management: worn and too-soft pillows, no guide for the TV, no hand sanitizer anywhere during a flu pandemic national emergency—including the food service area, broken kitchen area utensils, and dents in the refrigerator. At best I would rate this place at 2 on a 1-5 scale. Franky, they should not have charged me for the room. When I checked out I told them I would not be back and the desk clerk did not seem to care.
The hotel has the ability to be very nice. However, from the moment I walked into lobby it was apparent that this hotel was sub-par in the cleanliness department. The lobby floors were sticky from day 1 to day 5 of my stay. After a quick check in I made my way to the room and noticed a pallet that looked to be kitchen supply’s by the elevator. This pallet did not move for 3 days. Once on my floor I noticed the trash can over flowing with trash and the carpet was extremely dirty. The carpet was so dirty I could see a trail down the center of the hallway. I noted a couple of large trash pieces in the hallway these large pieces of trash were still there as I made my way to check out 5 days later. ( my stay was Monday - Friday). The only editable food at the continently breakfast as the yogurt. The breakfast sandwiches were not fit for consumption. On the first morning I wanted to make a Belgium waffle and poured myself the batter. The batter came out oily and spoiled looking, as if it was in the unrefrigerated container for some time. This hotel does have potential, however not under this management.
This place was awesome! Friendly staff who gave our children snacks upon arrival. Breakfast had tons of choices including many good hot choices. Dogs are allowed at the hotel, but you would never know they are there (until morning potty time haha) The hotel was super clean and smelled great. The room was huge with tons of wall storage. We had 2 queen beds and a pull out couch and our room had 2 televisions, one for each side of the room. We had no issues at all. We rented 4 rooms between my family and all of us had an excellent experience. We will definitely stay here again!
Stay was ok
Staff not very friendly. Room was clean with exception of hair in the tub. Continental breakfast wasn’t all that. The ‘fresh’ fruit consisted of only apples and oranges. Tried the waffles and something was on the waffle iron that came off onto the waffle - so the waffle ended up in the trash.
Very comfortable but at a price
We chose Home 2 on our way to Florida. We needed a hotel that would accommodate our pet dog, which they did. My wife is uncomfortable with low priced hotels. Everything was very good but th3 high room rate plus th3 pet surcharge made the stay too expensive.
