Amazing

We booked a room in the hotel in order to play golf in the region not knowing, that the restaurant is the „must see“ there. We enjoyed a degistation menu which was leading us through many different tastes of Friuli, we enjoyed the wine recomendation of the patron (a Schiopettino de Prepotto) and the restaurant‘s atmosphere and finally the service of very nice Anna. So, don’t hestitate to drive towards a small village outside of Udine and San Daniele and don’t be surprised if you don’t get a table without reservation.

If you want to veer off the tourist loop...this is the place to try

The hotel is in a town that you usually just pass through on your way elsewhere. If you decide to try somewhere off the beaten path you will not be disappointed. The place is family run and owned by a husband and wife and sister team that manage the hotel and amazing restaurant. The restaurant rivals some of the best restaurants in food and decor that we have seen in our many travels to Italy. (it could even give most restaurants in NYC, where we're from, tough competition) We ate here twice in our four night stay. The hotel is beautifully decorated with high end modern furniture as well as antique salvaged items that work beautifully together. The terrace/garden is a fantastic place for a pre dinner drink or to just sit and relax. The room was clean and comfortable with the only thing lacking being closet space should you want to hang things out of the way and not on hooks that were on the walls. Fliabano is not a tourist destination with many things to see and do but using the hotel as our base to explore the area was a nice experience. Udine and Friuli are a short drive away.

Hidden gem

Been treated by girlfriend for my birthday. The restaurant deco is a mixture between modern and antique, it works perfectly. The food is spot on!! Adventurous and well balanced in flavours. We went for the fish tasting menu!!! Really good selection in the wine list!! If you plan to visit the surroundings, this place is definitely a must go.

A real jewel hidden away

The is a great place. The restaurant is first class and part of the "slow food" movement. A talented chef. They have a B & B of 7 rooms in the best contemporary Italian design. This is a family owned location and even though it is very sophisticated there is a welcome family atmosphere. The chef even prepared special breakfasts for us since my traveling partner was gluten sensitive. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. Very, very clean.

The hotel is located in a small and quiet village. It is beautifully designed and decorated. Rooms are comfortable, nice, and the restaurant is excellent. The place is family-owned and run, has a homey, friendly atmosphere.
