stay away from Hawthorn by Wyndham
Looks great from the outside. Rooms are dated and need basic upgrades, like toilet seat, shower curtain rod, carpet. The a/c unit leaked water and soaked the carpet. The hallways and rooms smelled musty. Mold and damaged ceiling in bath. we had three 3 rooms booked, going to a family wedding.Had our original room changed, second room still rough, but the bath was a little better.I've stayed at better maintained rooms at truck stops.It seems this hotel caters to temporary workers and truck drivers, not to tourists or visitors.
Night away
It was a much needed night away. It was very clean and staff assisted me and check in and check out was easy. The hotel was very quiet and I would definitely return and I would definitely recommend the Hawthorne. Also the Room service menu was also a great addition to my stay
Enjoyable
The bed was fantastic but take your own pillows. That's the only bad thing I can say. Other than that the place is great. The guy saw me walking aimlessly, I was looking for the syrup. Then headed to make a waffle. He offered to make the waffle for me!
Nice hotel for the price
Great service. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Pretty quiet. I heard some road noise, but no other guests. Needs a little updating especially in the bathroom, but honestly better than the $350 a night hotel I stayed in in New York.
My weekend stay
I enjoy staying here. It's near my family who I cone to visit and there are a few restaurants in walking distance I like, crackle barrel is very good. If I didn't have to get up so early to shower and hurray to get breakfast before it's all gone, would be nice.
