We didn't have a room with a view of the creek, but it was comfortable. Everything you could need for a good nights rest. Only drawback is the parking. There are not enough parking spots in front of each unit to acommodate the number of rooms so we had to park a bit away. Also, the ice machine had been broken (for a number of weeks) and we had to drive to a neighboring hotel to get ice???
A great place for traveling with the pack
My better half and I have a longstanding tradition of visiting Fort Bragg for the annual crab fest. We'd taken to camping, because we have three dogs, and no hotel — or at least, so we thought — would accommodate more than two. A few years ago, we discovered, entirely by accident, that the Beach House would let us bring all three for an eminently reasonable fee, and we haven't packed the tent or sleeping bags since then. The rooms aren't particularly flashy, but they don't have to be. They're clean and comfortable, and the staff are unfailingly helpful and friendly. The hotel has become a staple of our annual trips.
Just staying here for a night during a northern California roadtrip. Lovely, simple place with nice amenities in the bathroom. Weather is a bit grey during this time of year so the view of the estuary is there however there's no sun or vibrant blue water like in the advertising photo. (obviously not the inn's fault that the weather isn't cooperating!) Still, check in was fast and the New Year's Day greeting friendly. The room is comfortable as are the beds. Breakfast isn't expansive but there are muffins and pastries as well as juices and milk and cereal. And of course a selection of hot beverages. You can also grab a breakfast burrito to microwave in your room. Nice location here too. The restaurants are down the street and the harbor is a bit further away but not far at all.
Nice older motel with a great location and staff.
Can't think of any negatives. Friendly and helpful staff in the office, well-appointed room with everything we needed. Wonderful little balcony over-looking the waterway and I particularly enjoyed sitting out there watching the birds and waterfowl. Extremely easy access to Hwy 1 and all the attractions in the Ft. Bragg area. It sits up high enough that the evenings are quiet, even when there is traffic on Hwy 1. I suppose that parking might be an issue if the hotel is full, but we had no problems with that in mid-October.
We got one of their last 2 rooms. Judy at the desk was very pleasant and helpful. The room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was very comfortable and had nice linens - and FIVE pillows! The room had a small table and 2 chairs which came in very handy when we had to bring in a pizza for dinner. Continental breakfast was a little sparse. Overall, great experience and I highly recommend.
