Stayed here for one night with my husband and three kids. Booked through Expedia and got a great deal. Lots of parking in back, some in front but not a lot. Room was on main floor and not too far from lobby. Check in was quick and easy. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was quite small. There was a large hole in the wall behind the main door when you enter room. Hotel is centrally located in downtown Fort McMurray, next to Peter Pond Mall and casino. Tim Hortons is also right there as well which was great for coffee in the morning. Breakfast is served in the attached pub which was dimly lit like a seedy bar. I felt weird about taking my kids into it, so we skipped it. Check out was super fast. All in all, good bang for my buck but not a place I would jump to stay at again.

BED BUGS

I stayed here for 4 sleeps and on the last day the u think able had happen. The first night my room was not cleaned I asked the front desk as it was late to send someone up to fix the issue . They did and bed sheets were changed . The next day I had a bump thing on me not thinking about it though I must have been botten by a bug. On the last day I was removing my sheet as they didn't clean my room for me so wanted to make sure that the next person gets a clean sheet and there it was a bed bug.... i have been home now for a few days and the bites are seriously all over my body . As bed bug bites can take a few days to show up . This is not ok they should be doing regular checks of there rooms nd cleaning regularly. I contemplated not saying anything but the extent of my bites means that there is a big problem there. And I know that this came from there as I found the bug. I am glade I did to take the nessacery precautions as this could have come into my home.

I stay at this hotel often for work. Beds are comfortable, staff are friendly, and good TVs. The only thing is they used to provide bottled water in room but not anymore. Baileys pub is always good to go to for drinks and food.

Party disappointment ...

Never stayed here but we did book our Christmas Party here for the 6 straight year and probably our final ! Supper was to be served at 7:30 and at 7:45 we checked to see if they were ready. This at the point we were told that it was already in the food heaters on the tables. Extra was also paid to have the roast beef carved/ shaved at the buffet but instead we were served pre sliced roast beef that was cut almost as thick as steaks. That probably would have been fine if it was good. The beef was tough and chewy. Lots left it on their plates as it wasn’t really good. Fruit and cookie platters were placed out for the party guest and twice the hotel staff were seen helping themselves to the fruit. Paid for and expected enough food for 70. There was probably enough for 55-60 people and still not enough food. No one tended to the food until we notified them that the trays were actually empty and the party guest were not even all at the buffet at this point. Sandwiches were served at around 10 pm. The roast beef sandwiches were made from the roast that our guest couldn’t or didn’t want to eat at the main meal. Still as thick and chewy. The only real difference it was a little colder. Overall it was a complete disappointment.

Horrible hotel

Hello, am writing about this hotel to let anyone staying here be careful.. One night i stayed here, i checked for only 30mins, 45 mins maximum.. the hotel was supposed to only cost me $120.00 plus $300.00 retainer fee... So afrer my short visit, I leave, and upon leaving left my roomkey with the front desk ladies, telling them i no longer need the space.. The next day i look at my visa statment and am alarmed,to see that they charged $700.00 for my 30min stay, so i call and ask the reason for the $700.00 charge, and they tell me beacuse there was smoking in the room, which i did'nt do... So i then called my bank to dispute this transaction, and the same hotel went ahead and charged me another $700.00, which now totals $1400.00, and they told me the reason for the second charge was because i disputed the first, charge of $700.00 agianst my consent. So now im out of pocket $1400.00 for a 30 min stay, that was supposed to only cost me $120.00, and am now currently disputing the second charge..
