The Breakfast was really bad!!!
I stayed here back in September over labor day weekend and the breakfast in the grab bag was pathetic. It was a cheap granola bar, orange juice that tasted horrible, a green orange and something else that was not very good. The room was way to close to the highway and you could hear the cars and trucks all night. I did buy a small fan which then muffled the sound. In the middle of the night you would smell a sewage smell coming from the vent in the bathroom. I reported it to the front desk but it went nowhere. These rooms are not worth $90 or more per night. $50 or less is what they should be charging. My wife and I are Hilton Honors members and were really disappointed in this place.
Not Good
I can fully appreciate the impact that COVID is having on the hospitality industry. That being said, this stay feels like more of a low-end motel experience. The rooms are not kept, trash is not collected...you have to put your trash outside the door to be emptied if you're staying more than a couple of days. The website needs to be updated with COVID-specific disclaimers such as no hot breakfasts. The phone in the room doesn't work. I'm sympathetic to the issues, but also feel that transparency needs to be shared with potential customers up front, not on the elevators once paid. And, room costs should be equal to service provided. On the up side, the young lady in the mornings is very pleasant.
Staff can always ruin a stay
We booked for a week. The people in the room next to us were loud all night. Early in the morning my wife went down to ask the desk to do something about it. She was told that they wouldnt help her until she put a mask on. They didnt confirm with her they would take care of it. They only did their best to get her angry. When I went down to ask if they were going to do something about it, before she would say yes, she lectured me on how poorly my wife behaved. I was always taght in hospitality that you try to de-escalate problems, not escalate them. We come to Frederick often. This will be our last stay here.
Good stay
Hotel is clean. Safe area. Check in smooth. Breakfast was kind of lame..brown bag with OJ, Breakfast bar, muffin. Hotel has a restaurant/bar but its kind of dingy. Beds were good some new pillows would be nice.
Choose another hotel!
I switched hotels to save $10 - don't make my mistake. Stay somewhere else. I'm not sure why they are open during the Covid epidemic - nothing is available. No ice, no business center, breakfast is a grab and go bag with a small granola bar, a chocolate chip muffin, a banana and a container of orange juice. No coffee is available in the lobby - only what you can make in your room. Awful coffee! Speaking of the room, don't stay in 327. The hallway on the 3rd floor smells - very musty! The carpet in our room (next to the bathroom wall) was damp all night. The road noise was loud all night. I did select this room - don't make may mistake with this choice either! I'm used to Hamptons being an "okay place to stay". This is not one of them. Rooms and hallways need updating and cleaned.
