My wife and I stayed in a suite (room #126) recently. Everything was fine and we would stay here again if we returned to Fredericksburg. The Inn is about a block off of Main Street and is in a very good location for walking around the central business district. It also has a large parking lot which is helpful. The room and bathroom were decent sized and fairly nice although a little dated. Front desk personnel were helpful and they sell snacks and some food items in the lobby. Breakfast buffet was included in the room rate and was pretty basic. The price ($143) represented a very good value. No complaints from us. Recommended.
One encounter soured my opinion before even checking in.

Never actually set foot in the premises. Had a three day reservation. The parking lot was essentially empty and before I got out of the car to check in I was told in no uncertain terms I could not park my suburban towing my race car in any lot around the hotel. There was no alternative offered. I cancelled the reservations on my phone on the lot before leaving. While I am sure the number of people towing race cars wanting to stay in that hotel is tiny. It was the way I was told I could not park there was a bit abrupt and rude. Not a problem at all as I there were rooms all over town with availability. It was simply a minor inconvenience but things could have been different had it been a busy time in this popular tourist destination. I probably should not judge a location by one interaction, but I have a low level of tolerance from service industry employee rudeness. It could have been handled better. If you have a trailer or motor home, stay elsewhere.

Easy walk to downtown Fredericksburg. Clean, large rooms. I only gave it average because the mattress was firmer than I like and pillows were fiber. Front desk had no other pillow options which I believe is an oversite...I bought a better pillow the next day. They serve breakfast each morning if you do not wish to try some of the local establishments.
Avoid this hotel, at least room 210

We stayed two nights. If you are unlucky enough to get room 210, know a few things. The couch (loveseat) in the room is old , dirty and it squeaks. The ceiling fan above the loveseat does not work on high. It barely goes. Then we called down to the front desk and told them our air conditioning was not staying on, even though we had it on continuous and it was not getting our room cool enough. We were told they would send someone up. It never happened. It will not cool the room adequately and when on continuous it will not stay on. We will never stay here again. Maybe we just got a bad room. When I called the next morning, I was told they were sold out and we could not move rooms.
Offensive Lecture by Desk Clerk

After getting a flat tire in town, we had to wait for a new tire to be delivered, thus an unexpected night in Fredericksburg. I chose this hotel and was happy to get a room on a Friday night without a prior reservation. However, when we were leaving, the woman at the front desk asked to speak to us. My husband and I both had active Covid cases (which we had only discovered the day before) and were being super cautious by wearing N95 masks in all public areas. When my husband saw the housekeeping staff on our floor, he cautioned them that they should wear gloves and masks while cleaning our room. The woman at the desk proceeded to lecture us about the “cultural differences” of the housekeeping staff, and said that we had scared them so badly they were refusing to clean our room. I am not sure what she thought we should do about that, but not telling the staff to take precautions seemed quite immoral to us. Personally, I would never stay at this establishment again. I was offended by the very implication that we had done something wrong by being honest and cautious.
