Absolutely Awful
I stayed here about a week ago, and felt compelled to write a review. I'm usually not one to write a review, but I just had to after my experience. First of all, the customer service was TERRIBLE. The Woman I checked in with was on her phone and didn't pay much mind to me at check in. I decided later on that night to take a dip in the pool, and as we were getting out, and drying off, she felt the need to come in and yell at us. It wouldn't have taken any person very long to notice I was in a towel, and leaving. Fast forward to around 11:30, we come back to the hotel with some food, only to realize we had forgotten our keys. So I come to the front doors, get rung in, and he realizes the woman before him forgot to have me sign a waiver. I'm signing this waiver, and he gets very frustrated when he realizes I have five people, not just one. So to be clear, I have FIVE guests, in a room that sleeps SIX. The gentleman proceeds to tell me he is going to charge me an extra $35 for having more than one person. So i'm being charged for having five people... in a room that sleeps six.. coming from hotel customer service myself, I had never heard of such a thing. I proceed to ask questions, and he gets angry. He becomes very cold and rude. There were multiple issues with the room, that I would have kindly overlooked if the customer service was decent. Like the heat setting off our smoke alarm, the carpet around the A/C soaked, the shower missing hardware, etc. I would 10/10 NEVER stay here again!
Terrible
I was more than disappointed. The front desk man was a jerk especially when the cards he just gave us got us locked out when grabbing luggage. The room was fine but the beds were small and there was a lot of rust and mysterious stains. There breakfast was nothing but instant oatmeal (I understand with covid precautionary measures are being taken but we stopped at other hotels during our stay that still offered choices for breakfast while still keeping people safe). We were also forced to pay extra because there were three people staying in the room. ( no duh! There are two beds... otherwise if it was just one person a one bed room would have been booked. Plus there was never an option to put how many people were staying when booking on our phone.) The shampoo and body wash offered were almost as small as an eraser. Luckily we brought our own shower supplies or we would have been SOL. I hate complaining and normally I wouldn’t write a review unless happy but this hotel was just terrible!
Good location for our needs
Everything was just ok. They are not as nice as a couple others we used in our cross country adventure. For the price compared to others we were hoping for a more updated stay. Even check-in was just ok...not very friendly.
One and done
I selected this hotel on short notice because it was the least priced major chain hotel in Nashville area on Labor day weekend (though quite overpriced). It is undergoing renovation. One of the stair wells should have been closed to public but was not. Staff at check in and check out were not particularly engaging. Check in just took my credit card & ID and told me room number, and did not explain about breakfast, pool, etc. I expected more in that regard. Check out clerk had tattoo and I thought that was unprofessional when dealing with public. There was an empty water bottle in other stair well that was left on floor both nights. Hot tub water was luke warm & pool area was not cleaned from overnight when I went in in the AM Sunday. Room was spacious but there was a big empty space. Shower head was an adjustable type and I had to tilt it toward the wall, making it tight. Otherwise, water will spill on floor. There was DirecTV but Weather Channel curiously was not unavailable "not purchased." Would have liked it especially with hurricane approaching. Operation resembled Rodeway or Motel 6 than Choice, which is otherwise a respectable chain. More unacceptable points than acceptable; will go elsewhere in future.
Worst Experience Ever
Today I went to book a room for myself and my children due to the fact we are in the end of closing on a home. Their policies state only 6 guest in double if more 50 dollars fee may be applied okay I sign. My husband and older son helps to floor with my younger children since they have to work over night they not staying but before I can reach room door woman from desk is coming down hall demanding I close door and leave. I’m in shock as to why she said u lied it’s 7 people I say mama my husband and son are only helping me get into room since I have smaller children and car seats she say No my husband is upset and says give my wife her money we will leave she says No and pick up phone and calls police. Police gets there me and children in lobby and wait tell them what happens and they too ask if I can get my money back she still refuse on top of that she will not contact manager or anyone so we can explain. She only give me number to hotel line that goes to random workers. I’m crying in tears because that was my last which leaves us without anywhere to go. Every number I call lead to an end so now I’m out off money $259 total. Cost of room and 100 damage fee/ non smoking fee for a room I didn’t make into. I’m at lost for words and lost my money and nobody that can help me get money back.
