This Hampton Inn is absolutely stunningly beautiful, clean, newly built, modern custom style and decor, easy to access, walking distance to many good restaurants, and is safe-across the street from the police headquarters. This Hampton Inn offers garage parking and an excellent friendly, helpful, caring staff! Guests will notice the staffs’ welcome greetings and smiles! I loved the amenities, including the beautiful patio, nightly bar, free breakfast, and fitness center. As other reviewers have mentioned, the downtown location area is very close to active train traffic. The train does not detract from enjoying this hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I look forward to my next visit here!

December night in downtown Greensboro

This new hotel in downtown Greensboro was perfect for our one night stay enroute to the beach for a chilly Christmas. The decor is fresh and appealing. Our room was clean and spacious and the front desk staff was warm and welcoming and gave us a good tip for dinner.

Hampton Inn Downtown Greensboro is located in walking distance of many restaurants and the Amtrak train station. Was not very impressed with this hotel. To be such a brand new hotel you would think things like customer service and cleanliness would be no issue. When I checked into the front desk to get my room no one was at the front desk, finally when the girl came to the desk she had a attitude like I was bothering her. She seemed very rushed to check me in she didn’t offer me the bottled waters or snacks that I was supposed to get as a Hilton honors gold member just seemed like they cared less about me being a guest at the hotel. The floors in the hallway were dirty and their was trash laying in the hotel lobby bathroom. My room which was on the 3rd floor was next to a very busy apartment complex and their was loud in and out traffic from the street all night room should be better insulated for noise cancellation. Not what you would expect from a brand new Hampton inn that’s only been open for a few months I hope management will read this comment and take of it I will probably not come back to this hotel.

New hotel. Very nice but if you want a good night sleep not a great place. A train goes by numerous times at night and the whistle blows as it does. I am a heavy sleeper and this work me up 3 times for sure. Maybe ask for the side of hotel tracks are not on.
