We frequently meet family for lunch at The Angel as it caters for everyone - grandparents, children and dogs alike! Ask to sit in the conservatory if you have a dog with you. They are always flexible and accommodating and the menu provides something for everyone from roast dinners to specialty pizza and pasta. We definitely recommend for a good, staple meal if you are in Halesworth and catering to all different ages/tastes.

The Angel is located in Halesworth which is perfectly placed for visiting Southwold, Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings (don’t miss) Dunwich Heath and beach, and lots of the top locations in this lovely part of Suffolk. It’s a pub with 7 rooms so don’t go expecting full fledged hotel facilities - but if you are out all day sightseeing it’s got all you need - and it’s good value when compared to hotels in the bigger towns. Both rooms i’ve had there were very comfortable. Ask not to be given the double room with no view as it’s a bit gloomy. I was given it initially on my latest visit but the receptionist managed to move me to room 3 which was large, had a nice outlook on to the high street and had a bath rather than just a shower. Food in both the pub and in their Italian restaurant, Cleone’s, is surprisingly good as was the freshly cooked breakfast. Halesworth is a nice little town with some decent shops and a nice walk through a small park into a Millenium Field and onwards to open fields with a paved path. Will definitely return when I’m visiting this part of Suffolk next.

Have stayed several times, always the same, helpful friendly staff, great food, good atmosphere all round and a comfortable room. Easy parking (free) and Halesworth a good starting point for this part of Suffolk. We'll stay again when next in the area.

A little background,we used to holiday in this area and many years ago we stayed at the Angel, and the rest is history,we have now lived in Halesworth,and visit the the Angel 2 or 3 times a week.for a meal or a coffee or drink,and it never fails to step up to the plate. The building itself is lovely,the staff are welcoming,and friendly coffee is great the beer very well kept,the food, both in the bar and the Italian restaurant are very good Overall going there just. Gives you a nice warm cuddle. Please go there

Another lovely stay at the Angel, lovely people, lovely food all with a great and friendly service. We generally have our evening meals in their Cleone's Italian restaurant and on one of these evenings with only a few hours notice, we increased our table booking first from eight to twelve and finally to sixteen people (for which I do apologise). With no fuss, tables had been reorganised for us, the food was, as always, delicious. The service excellent as ever. Thank you all ( you know who you are) we really appreciated all that you did for us. Many thanks, K & N.
