Boa localização
Hotel com boa localização e com serviço aceitável. Pequeno almoço de qualidade embora com pouca diversidade. Bar simpático. No entanto os quartos pecam por não estarem devidamente isolados e ruídos do exterior, do corredor por exemplo, serem escutados.
New Year stay
Stayed here for new year. Great location, reasonable rates. Rooms small but cosy and everything you need in them. Staff are amazing and really friendly and helpful. Bonus you get a free travel card during your stay. Would recommend.
Great location
Positive Great location just near Alster lake - easy walk from stephansplatz station and airport transfer. Good sized room (superior) with comfy bed and separate sitting area Didn’t eat here so couldn’t comment on food but had competitively priced drinks in bar Travel pass was useful too - but you can walk easily if you want to as well Staff were all helpful and friendly Negative Our room was at the front with a small balcony (for smoking I think) but this did mean it was noisy from the big road outside. As it was so hot we had to have the door open , but at the price of noise. No air con so very hot in summer Would recommend for location and price in centre of city
Mini-Trip to Hamburg
Hotel is good situated near Stephansplatz. Underground train accessible at approx. 200 m. Breakfast buffet amazing. Friendly and helpfull staff. For my next trip i will sure stay there again. Very quit in the Hotel. No noise in the night. As it's an elder hotel, no climatisation, but electrical fan at disposition.
Excellent rooms, top location, good price
Hotel Baseler Hof is located very centrally (right next to the beautiful Alsterbecken, can't get any more central in Hamburg). Yet, the place is quiet and has lots of (Swiss-style) character. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were actually surprised by the quality of our rooms - very clean, practical (plenty of power outlets, safe, storage spaces, lights, lockable drawer), stylish and comfortable. The price was very competitive for the area. One great perk: every guest gets a free three day transit pass for the city. The hop on hop off buses, if you're into such things, leave literally in front of the main entrance. Almost everything else in the city can be reached on foot. We would definitely stay here again.
