This was a surprisingly great stay. The Hotel is tucked away right in a quiet neighborhood in St. Pauli. The team is very friendly and also surprisingly international which I didn’t expect in such a small house. Rooms and public spaces very clean! Breakfast is reduced, however the quality is superb - a lot of organic produce - and you find all you need. The room is a little dark - all grey - some brighter color would be nice. But really this is just a matter of taste. I certainly will be back.

We came to Hamburg for the first time in December, for 3 nights, and the St Annen was a great place to stay, at a great price. Everything was perfect, from the wonderful staff, to the comfortable, modern room, to the lovely breakfasts. And for a small hotel to have a proper 24-hour reception is a real boon for late arrivals. It's located on a quiet street in a fairly bohemian area, but don't let that put you off. It's only about 5 minutes walk to the St Pauli U-bahn, which gets you into the city centre quickly, or you could even walk into the centre in about 20 minutes. All in all, thoroughly recommended!

Stayed here for three nights while visiting my nephew. The staff were very friendly and professional, the rooms were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the delicious fresh breakfast. There is a lovely garden area in the bak. I can't say enough good things about Hotel St. Annen. Very happy with my experience.

Amazing experience at Hotel St. Annen Hamburg

We have yet to experience the service we received at the Hotel St. Annen. The staff member, Sarah, greeted us not only with a big smile but also with great information. She quickly found us a reservation at a great Indian restaurant and made a note to have coffee ready for me at 5:30am even though breakfast does not start until 7am. They provided umbrellas (and Lucia even got some from storage when they ran out), which helped on the rainy evening. Wonderful breakfast, outstanding service, and conveniently located within a 20-minute walk to the Fischmarkt and Harbor. The toilet and shower also are separate, which is lovely for two guests, especially as both have sinks. We highly recommend this quaint hotel for your stay in Hamburg.

Stayed here for two nights in July 2022. Property is located on a quiet side street in the St Pauli district--close and convenient to both bus and subway lines. Rooms are spotless and spacious by European standards. Breakfast buffet is varied and healthy,with made to order eggs, etc. The true standout of the St Annen is the exceptional staff. From the general manager to the front desk staff to the support staff, everyone is friendly and accommodating. Knowledgeable about their city and very eager to share advice on things to see and do. We would highly recommend this hotel.
