We stayed two nights and aporeciated the very good sea view and nice atmosphere at the hotel. The checkin was pleasent by very service minded and smiling receptionist. Room was clean and fine. We had dinner at the restaurant at the hotel which can be recommended. We had the 8 course gourmet dinner with wine menu. This was extremely good - a very high level of food, wine and the waiter really did a lot to make it a good experience. All in all 5 big stars.

We found this to be a very clean and comfortable hotel close to the Danish border. The views from the rooms were stunning, and there was a small balcony where you could sit and enjoy them. The staff were friendly, and breakfast was plentiful with good variety.

This hotel is positioned in a picturesque setting at the water's edge. Check-in is downstairs at the restaurant. The staff were all very friendly. This hotel has no lift. All rooms have a water view and a balcony. Our room was a decent size and was clean. The bed was comfortable with all non-feather bedding--great for allergy sufferers! There were power outlets at each nightstand--perfect for two people to charge phones & devices at bedside. The room had a safe in the closet but, unfortunately, no minifridge and no coffeemaker. The bathroom was super small and had a shower cubicle (no bath) with no visible mold--great job, housekeeping! The shower water pressure was good and the hot water mostly stayed hot; it did oscillate twice between hot and cool. The towels were a good size but thin. There was a wall-mounted hairdryer and magnifying mirror, which is always a great bonus! The free WiFi was strong and password protected. The restaurant had delicious food and a decent wine list. Hotel parking is in the open-air lot across the street. I've stayed here before and will happily return the next time I'm passing through the area.

The restaurant is located at the beach of the Flensborg fjord. A wonderful location. You can dine outside or if you prefer to a calm environment inside. The restaurant has an interesting menu which is different from most of the restaurant in Flensborg and environment

Stop off on way to Hirtshals for ferry to Norway

Booked through booking.com and paid €121/night. The location is amazing. We had a room with a balcony, which made the stay very memorable. Unfortunately parts are a bit run down and in need of a lick of paint. The reception is (temporarily) downstairs in the restaurant and the foyer seems a bit uninviting. The size of the room is good, bathroom is on the small side but perfectly adequate. Complimentary bottle of water is nice but unfortunately no tea/coffee making facilities. Room is very clean. Breakfast buffet is adequate and has everything needed but don’t think it’s worth the €18 they would charge non staying guests. The location definitely outweighs any of the cosmetic shortfalls and worth staying at for a stop along the way. Not sure if it’s worth a journey as a final destination. Ps: travelled with our dog and forest and footpath for walkies right outside the hotel. Dog friendly beach 5 mins away.
