Myself and a friend just spent one night at The Laindons. We only met Karen briefly but Malcolm gave us a great welcome and made us feel at home within minutes. We booked the Blue room which had a bathtub in the bedroom. We've stayed in some amazing places but this was our favourite room, it was beautiful. Everything was up to such a high standard from the decor to the bedding. It really felt like luxury. We were given a parking permit to use which covers check in to check out (4pm to 11am), this is a great addition offered. If you stay, you'll find out why guests love the breakfast! We are familiar with the area but if you're not, the location is perfect. The Laindons is in the heart of the Old Town with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. We loved our stay, until next time.

Stayed here when our trip was extended by a day and our original booking at another BnB couldn’t accommodate.. and super happy we did! Fantastic inn, wonderful host, great location, delightful breakfast. Karin, the hostess, is charming, attentive, kind, and more than a bit hilarious. Should really get 6* but alas.. five’s the limit! Highly recommend!

Nothing to dislike, book, don’t hesitate. It is as perfect as all reviews say it is. Great welcome, your hosts will assist in every way possible and leave you to enjoy their great hotel. Car Parking; also perfect seconds away & free 4pm to 11am

We stayed two nights at Laindons for a short break in Hastings to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Without a doubt the best guest house we have ever stayed in. Our room (Coral) was fabulously appointed with a large and extremely comfortable bed made up in high quality cotton linen. The hospitality extended by our hosts Malcom and Karen was both welcoming and generous with many extras we did not expect that made our stay exceptional. Malcolm cooks a delicious full English (as does Karen!) and delights in ensuring you have a high-quality meal that sets you up for the day. The location in the old town is perfect for exploring such an interesting and historical area. Yes the seagulls are a bit “shouty” but just pop in the supplied “gull plugs” and they are nothing more than a background seaside chorus. We highly recommend a stay at Laindons and certainly plan to return in the future.

We were two couples who had the red and coral rooms . There was nothing that had not been catered for even beyond that found in five star hotels . From the fluffy towels bathrobes and comfortable bedding to the gull earplugs, toothbrush kits,toiletries and knickknacks of kinds found in the bathrooms. The tea and coffee stations were comprehensive even the biscuits were artisanal not the normal commercial brands . There were free sticks of rock and lollies for children. The lounge and honesty bar were very well equipped even though the rooms had very good fridge and bar facilities . The sunny dining room conservatory was lovely and our full English breakfasts as well as the crushed avocado and poached egg offering were delicious not to forget the yogurt and granola house cereal which was a delight . We have never seen such large tea cups a nice touch as we were not forever pouring . We wish we had stayed longer and would recommend this guest house with great character in the old town without question .
