Excellent Sunday roast lunch.

My brother and I went for Sunday lunch and thought it the best pub Sunday lunch we have had in a long time. The meat was tender, the roast potatoes were good and there were plenty of vegetables served in a separate dish. The service was excellent, the landlady even bringing my dog her own bowl of water. We will be returning, particularly if roast lamb is on offer! ;-)

Poor food but a cracking pint of Doombar.

The pub was local to us and we were tired and hungry so gave it a go. Cracking pint of doom bar and friendly staff but sadly the food was 2 stars. I had the burger which consisted of a plappy non brioche bun, 2 plappy frozen style burgers with mushy consistency (why aren’t you making your own?) and a piece of bacon across the top that was still grunting. My wife had the scampi which was straight from Costco cheapest range by the taste of it. I don’t mean to whinge as profit margins for pubs are really tight and it’s a difficult time but for very little additional effort the food could have been much better. The beer makes it a 3 star review.

Had meals here on 3 separate occasions during our holiday in St.Keverne. Unpretentious food, well cooked and presented. Every meal was excellent and menu included gluten free options. Highly recommended

We stayed in one of the ensuite rooms at the back of the pub and was very happy with everything in the room. Very spacious and very quiet it had everything you needed for a good stay.. We stopped for a drink in the bar and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was great, a lot of choice and tasty. Would definitely stay again

Lovely friendly staff and just a lovely old village pub. Had Sunday lunch here which was plentiful and very tasty. Given 4 stars as food could have been served hotter. Would definitely return as the atmosphere is good and it is good value for money.
