Stayed there for New Year's Eve and had an excellent night. The room was lovely, the shower was superb and the breakfast was wonderful. Also the location, right beside the bridge, was perfect. I would highly recommend staying here.

A fabulous little find! Lois the host was warm, friendly and welcoming. Lovely size room, clean and warm, hot shower, also good size walk in. Wifi was great and free, breakfast was delish. Wish i could have stayed longer. Parking right out front. And i noticed an electric charge point. Until the next time Lois....

Lovely 4 night stay at Shaftoes Guest House Northumberland!

Lois and David made us feel very welcome from the time we arrived until the time we left. Good comfortable bedrooms with tea and coffee making facilities, good choice of tea,coffee, hot chocolate etc also bottles of water and biscuits. Nice ensuite bathroom with walk in shower. Excellent breakfast, as well as full English there were lots of other choices, cereal, fruit, yogarts, pancakes, toast and juices. One of our party was "gluten free" but Lois made provision for him with gluten free ingredients including bread and sausages! Parking spaces for guests. Short walk to local pubs, shops and railway station. Highly recommend!

Very comfortable and relaxing stay, with a warm welcome on arrival. Spotless accommodation and very tasty breakfast. Location is ideal by the river, close to the heart of Haydon Bridge and to attractions nearby. Would definitely return without hesitation.

What a gem of a place to stay

A great location with amazing hosts, the area is fantastic, so much to see and do around the area and host Lois gave great advice and directions. The room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was brilliant with a wide range of things to eat parking right outside was a real bonus. Would certainly recommend this location.
