Was sharing room with sister. Requested 2 doubles. There was a convention in town and the hotel was totally booked so we needed to share a King room the first night. The from desk set everything up so we could move to a double the next morning easily. The free breakfast was unimpressive, but the coffee was good. The room was roomy. It is a new hotel so it was in good shape.

Beyond my expectations. Check in and out was easy. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast wasn’t elaborate but did the job!! Freshly ground coffee, tea and water available 24 hours. Accommodating staff. Great weekend stay!

This is the 2nd Avid hotel that we have stayed at. Both the lobbies looked identical. Avid is a newer type hotel, where everything is pretty minimalistic. The room we were assigned was a handicapped room, which probably made the room about 3 feet wider. There is a hidden ironing board, an iron, safe and fridge. There is no microwave in the room, but there is one in the lobby. The beds were comfy. There was a desk and chair. We weren't sure what the decor of the room reminded us of, then figured it was similar to a pre-school with the colorful hooks and cubbies in the room. There is no closet area or armoire. There is coffee 24 hours a day. Breakfast was grab and go, including breakfast sandwiches, cereal, muffins, granola bars and fruit.

Very minimal; Good for a short stay

We stayed for one evening while attending a wedding. The staff is okay. They definitely aren't welcoming, but they're not quite rude either. They seem to be doing just enough to keep their jobs. The room was fairly small and sparse. The only chair in the room is for the desk. They need a couple places for suitcases or foldout suitcase stands in the room, since there's no closet. The room did have a mini-fridge which is always nice. (The picture attached is the entire room, except the bathroom.) The bathroom was an average size. It had just a shower, and one single sink. Not much space on the countertop for makeup and other items. Not much room for two people to use. The breakfast was all pre-packaged items. The only "warm" items were Jimmy Dean egg muffins/biscuits. They had small muffins, bagels and granola bars. They also had coffee and juice. Not very filling or exciting, but I guess it's enough to get you going on your way home. I would stay here again for another short stay. I'm not sure I would stay for a longer stay, since there's no where to sit except on the bed.

No frills at its finest

This was no frills at its finest. We had a power failure at our home during a heat wave and needed a cool place to sleep. Tried the Hampton next door, but they had no vacancies. The registrar recommended the Avid and said it was a little cheaper. The room was spotless. We had two king beds that were quite comfortable. The TV was a 55” and the hotel’s channels had what we wanted. The room had a small fridge and a microwave. The HVAC quietly maintained the selected temperature. The breakfast was prepackaged items including cereal, muffins, and breakfast sandwiches. Avid gave us good value.
