Welcome Stranger

Amazing service and meals
Avaliou em 10 de agosto de 2021
Stayed in Hobart at the mantra, which doesn’t have a restaurant. Luckily we found this pub right across the road. Ate there 4 out of 6 nights. $20 for most meals, and they’re huge. Rump cooked perfectly, chicken schnitzel thick big and moist, mushroom sauce perfect. And nothing too much for staff or chef. First night I personally had a beef schnitzel, and was able to turn that into a Parma for no charge, even with a side of gravy. Mash was lovely also. A basic pub, but those meals. Compliments to Pete the owner, Bec behind the bar who went above and beyond, making us feel like locals, and chef (sorry we didn’t get your name) absolutely made our holiday! Huge high five for you all!

Curtains rippedBathroom cupboard under sink had towels in it and between the towels was rubbish and a receipt from January 6 months ago so guess not cleaned since. Bath disgusting painted and paint flaking off mould in corners shower curtain blood stained gross, shower head would not stay up.toilet roll holder in prices sat on window ledge Definitely need to sack cleaner not covid19 safe, don't think most of room cleaned just sheets changed.

DO NOT STAY HERE
Avaliou em 4 de abril de 2021
DO NOT STAY HERE! Before making a booking here I called up and asked if it would be okay that im coming at 11pm and I was told it was fine, so I went ahead and booked. To make sure I also left a note on my booking that I would be arriving at 11pm and even called on the day as i was heading to the airport to make sure it would be okay that I was coming at 11pm that night and I was told someone would be there. I arrived at 11pm to the hotel and everything was closed up! I called and called and left voice messages and got nothing. It’s now 12am, I’m a 5ft woman in a city I have never been to before with nowhere to go. I went to countless hotels and everything was closed. Finally at 12:30am I found a hotel opened and I booked a room there for the night. I was so distraught. I finally managed to get ahold of the owner of the hotel i was meant to be staying in at 6am. So I ran back to the hotel to be able to check into my room as I had a tour at 7am that morning. When I got there the owner was pissed off I woke him up and just gave me the key and dismissed me and said “we will sort it out later” and walked away. Which I found so rude. After my tour I came back to the hotel and told the receptionist what had happened, and they laughed at me when I told them I was locked out of the hotel. I told them I didn’t want to make a fuss, I just want a refund for my last nights accommodation. So they told me that’s okay but I will have to contact these people to do it myself. So did it, I called up the company and I was able to get my money back for that night. When I thought everything was finally good, I was settled into my room, I went to bed after a long day adventuring the national parks. I was then woken up to a couple in my room. They had checked other people into my room. I was furious. This could all have been very easily avoided with paying a little attention and keeping track of all the guest. There is no other excuse but complete negligence. I will never stay here again and I strongly recommend for future people to look elsewhere if they can.
