Excellent Motel. Very friendly service. Great size rooms for the price. Highly recomended. If you are in Hokitika and dont want to be in the centre this is the place. Plently of parking. Spotlessly clean.

Exceptional Motel. Immaculately clean, well appointed, very well stocked with toiletries etc. Peaceful accommodation, very comfortable large beds. Perfect location, very close to the town centre and beach. Friendly, easy and quick check in.

Unexpected luxury in Hokitika

Stunning room. Check-in with owners Sonja and Phil was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, modern, impressively furnished, clean, neat, tidy and well resourced with lovely bathroom accessories and well stocked coffee/teas etc. The beds were super comfortable and great shower pressure. Sonja offered to drop us off where ever we wanted to go for dinner & pick us up, excellent customer service. We couldn't fault anything and highly recommend Stopforths Motel to stay if you're in or around Hokitika.

Stayed here for one night towards the end of our tour of South Island. Overall we stayed in 12 hotels/motels and we rated this one the best. Owner was friendly helpful and informative. She even loaned us an umbrella to go out for the evening. The room itself was beautiful. Spacious modern and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. We highly recommend this place to stay if you're in or around Hokitika.

Simply the best Motel we stayed in during our recent 5 week tour of Australia and NZ. Clean, roomy, fantastic bed, great shower and generally top end fittings bedding etc. Owners are so friendly and knowledgeable about Hokitika ,local attractions and surrounding area. Location is quiet and just a few minutes walk from the lovely town. Hokitika really is a little gem as is Stopforths Motel. If I am ever back I would not hesitate in staying again and cannot recommend highly enough.
