Quaint little Inn in a friendly little town Ye Ilde English Inn - Hollister, MO

Avaliou em 11 de novembro de 2022

The inn is just like what we’ve stayed in in London. Small quaint little rooms and plenty of places to sit in the building with a cozy fireplace and great fare in the restaurant right in the same building. Nice staff helped carry our luggage and made sure everything was in order each day.

Definitely the worst place to stay and it’s not up to code standards

YE OLDE ENGLISH INN IS THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED AT! UNACCEPTABLE BY ALL MEANS POSSIBLE DONT EVER PICK THIS MISTAKE OF A HOTEL I originally picked to stay 2 nights at this place but from the moment I walked into this old out dated place that had a funny smell about the place I knew it couldn’t get better when I checked into room. I checked into the Hotel late at 8:30 pm Waited till some guy came down from upstairs after making a phone call. Not professional by all means. The guy you checked me in must of been smoking weed cause he stank! After getting key to room which was a standard key like with a old lock I knew it was going down hill.Once I found the room and walked in I was like no way am I going to stay here 2 nights in this ran down room! The room was very small with a tiny bed which wasn’t a queen bed! The bathroom was so small and the shower was the worst with the drain being jagged so if I were going to take a shower in this room I would have to be very careful not to cut my foot on the drain itself and if I were to drop a piece of jewelry it would of been lost forever in this poor excuse of a inn. Well the only vent in this room was on a ceiling vent that had been leaking from water damaged that hasn’t been repaired which brings me the the mold issues that this place has with the stench smell throughout the inn (All floors) No actual AC control inside room which = Uncomfortable Stay so I told myself it will only be one (1) night not (2) Once I got to sleep around 11 pm from being uncomfortable cause of no Actual AC Control in room and at being 74 degrees with 100% humidity out.How could someone possibly get a good nights rest? Well it doesn’t stop cause at 1 am here comes a train with its horn sounded as this hotel faces street/tracks and again at 3:30 am so by the time 7am (Thursday) came around I was checked out of this hotel/inn

We were hoping for a nice quiet clean rest in this hotel in Hollister Mo. I have NEVER EVER left a review like this. We were at this hotel in the month of April this year. The only positive thing was the lady at the desk as we explained to her that I knew it was not her fault. I would advise anyone to avoid this place at least the hotel portion! My wife and I like thigs clean! No way would I even sit in the chair in our room. I am putting photos here so you can see for your self. A small sitting area outside our room was a miniature storeroom for a fridge and washer or something like that. Hotel stayer ,,,,,,, beware of this place. BUT if you don't mind these things then one would be ok in this h We were hoping for a nice quiet clean rest in this hotel in Hollister Mo. I have NEVER EVER left a review like this. Festive Christmas Getaway

Avaliou em 11 de dezembro de 2020

We really enjoyed our stay at Ye Olde English Inn. The hotel has the perfect Old English charm with modern amenities. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The Christmas Decor was very festive and perfectly themed. The restaurant had a great ambiance and incredible food. We especially enjoyed the smoked trout. The hotel was located on a charming street In downtown Hollister with several cute shops. Only 10-15 minutes from every Branson attraction. If your looking for a boutique hotel with a great location, charm and personality. I highly recommend Ye Old English Inn.

Do NOT stay here in DECEMBER EVER!!!! Nightmare stuff and the rudest I have ever met in my LIFE

Do NOT stay here in DECEMBER EVER!!!! Nightmare stuff and the rudest I have ever met in my LIFE!!!! OMG we stayed here 1 night Dec 14th 2019 and had a show at 3pm. We needed to check in about 1pm so called at noon and nobody was even there so we left a voicemail that was not returned no call back. Showed up at 1:15pm and again nobody there but the adjoining restaurant was open....called again and the phone rang behind the counter and rang bell and nothing....restaurant guy said the lady was upstairs and would come down...he finally called her and she was furious we were there. She said she doesn't mess with ozark deals and wasn't messing with me and was screaming at me. NEVER experienced anything like it and come to find out they had CLOSED DECEMBER 5th???? They had sold us a voucher so decided eh we can stay when they say we can so we checked in at 10pm after a show and slept....stained carpet and brown towels mixed with some white wash cloths...towels use to be white but was so grungy and unbleached they should have been thrown away. This place is wretched DON'T STAY!!!!! I travel a LOT even out of the country and this is one of the WORST experiences ever and way overpriced and just horrifying service and rude inn keeper hating on her job and everyone that would dare disturb her from living upstairs there.
